Cant add addon cars
I must have watched 20 videos on how to add cars to my gtav pc single player
I can add menyoo and replacement cars but every time I add a addon car it wont load and keeps repeating the opening. Also I cant seem to get a addon into the right spot in open iv under updates as some videos suggest with the editor on. It wont take it. The only cars were the replacement cars that went in, when I followed the videos. Any Suggestions,?
Don't skip steps.
Did you extract the rar or zip or 7z?
Did you place the folder containing dlc.rpf in the folder called dlcpacks?
Do you have OpenIV.asi in your game folder?
Did you close GTA 5 while Open IV was open so you could add the entry?
Did you add an entry for your car in dlclist.xml?
Did you spawn the car using the same name displayed for the yft file in OpenIV's editor?
Ok here is Video # 21. I hope you have more luck with this one.
Watch on Youtube at the highest resolution supported by your rig.
Pay attention to the details and you have a pretty good chance that this video will finally work!
@JohnFromGWN Nice vid. Btw. No Megan Fox wallpaper?
@gtavjamal I had to remove it because of the restraining order.
Making the video was interesting because I don't use a dlcpacks folder and I don't read instructions and I don't spawn cars with a trainer.
@JohnFromGWN Pfft restraining order. So last year. Ignoring it will show you have admirable qualities.
Megan Fox will say wow JohnFromGWN is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will...
Ftr. I no longer use computers. Instead advanced tech via Kryptonian crystals including 3d holographic projection.
@gtavjamal I can't use those because they affect my x-ray vision.
The problem im having is even when i have open iv open and edit on when i try to move an addon car into the dlc packs list it wont let me
wont go in and edit is on
You likely have a permission issue.
Did you watch the video I posted?
If you did, you would notice I didn't use OpenIV, I used Windows Explorer.
Edit: Please, please, tell me you weren't trying to drag and drop the addon folder onto the xml (dlclist.xml) file.
