Reducing Lightning Frequency in NVE

I have NVE installed, and when I set the weather to thunderstorm, the frequency of lightning is too high for my liking. Is there a way to decrease the frequency of lightning while keeping the thunder frequency as it is? If so, how can I adjust the lightning frequency separately in NVE? Thank you!

Ctrl+F3 in OpenIV & 'search your 'mods' folder only' to find it etc. If you find more than one, the one in 'update.rpf' will be the one loaded by the game

Try reducing the '<lightningOccurranceChance' value to start with & see if you get what you want just editing that alone.

If not, you can also delay cloud bursts with the multiple <DelayMin/Max values (2 of them. Bigger values = happen less often etc) & reduce <BurstSeqCount multiple values (3 of them) to have less bursts in a row.
