[SOLVED] After updated latest game patch...... REINSTALL CAR MODS
-
Hi guys, I just have one question. Do I have to reinstall all the car mod one by one after I updated the game?? I have created the MODS folder and done all the car mod inside the MODS folder using OPENIV.
Any suggestion? What should I do? Sorry I'm new for this.......

@riowongkp What I used to don't lose all my modded game:
NOTE: If you didn't do a backup of your modded game before the update, yes, you have to reinstall all mods that were modified in "update" folder, other files like "x64a.rpf" were not modified by Rockstar.
Otherwise, to the next steps (but before, make a backup, I'm not responsible for any issue):
1.- Download and install "Araxis Merge" program (It helps to compare folders, text files, etc).
2.- Learn (is very easy) how to compare 2 folders, and then, compare the unmodified "update" folder of the updated game with the unmodified "update" folder of your last backup.
3.- If you can see that some folders/text files was/were modified/added by rockstar, only change/add folders/lines that were added/modified if they don't conflicts with any mod you have.
4.- Be sure that you did all correctly and try to play the game. If no errors while playing, then enjoy, else, check what did you.

@Reyser
Thank you for your suggestion! I will try it

@riowongkp if you have all the files in Mod folder. all you need is to update your dlclist file found in upate.rpf\common\data
-
@FoxtrotDelta That's not the only thing that changes, there are some files on /update/update.rpf/common/ data that if you doesn't replace, OpenIV keeps saying that a new update.rpf version is available.
-
After an each update, update.rpf file is modified, so any custom DLC content has to be added manually in dlclist.xml. Gameconfig.xml have to be updated too, because Rockstar changed their limits, so when a new update will hit, wait for a compatibility. Also other mods installed in update.rpf (like VisualV) has to be reinstalled.

It's "version.txt"

@cgz Yes I know that, but anyway I recommend replace or edit all files that were modified/added by Rockstar to avoid problems, that's why I said "there are some files on...".
-
@Reyser Yes I am aware of this, btw thanks a lot for the tip with Araxis Merge I didn't know this was possible to check the lines, I am actually trying to find the things to replace to get my gta works again,
but god it take times to check everything almost everything is in blue lol.

@cgz Np, first time for me was so much chaos and reinstalled all, but with last update I checked all correctly and in less than 30min I had all working fine, my game is more stable than before

@Reyser lol I though about it many times but I am too lazy to reinstall all mods I downloaded, anyways I can finally play it works now
