@SkylineGTRFreak just saw this ship at the background of the A/S32A-31A Flight Deck Tractor mod's screenshots, any news about it? will it be released sometime or it's cancelled?

@B-Milan it was canceled, but i think , since we might be getting. weapons. and other things working on boats. soon. thank to R* hopefully. this too can be made easily now.

@FoxtrotDelta cool, for me this would be cool even without weapons and other stuff, just the ship, but if this is going to be real sometime and with weapons, I will be really happy, just make it please! XDD

@B-Milan this one will be made by skylinegtrfreak. its his mod. and rockstar might release a patch that will help us, have weapons and doors on the ships.

I actually didn't really care for the non-functional weapons on that one, but I had trouble with the handling as the ship was always listing to the port side. That and it became really glitchy after landing planes on it.

@SkylineGTRFreak i solved this problem somewhat, with increasing the Mass of carrier, in zm3 and in handling.meta both. but yet, the waves did move the carrier. as you can see in my lioaning carrier video.

@FoxtrotDelta I have had a problem that after increasing the mass to much that the ship becomes barely steerable.

@SkylineGTRFreak that happens, if the rudder mass is too less as compared to chassis. col. Make Rudder col's Mass at least 25% of chassis mass. to steer correctly. when you increase the mass of chassis collision that much. plus steering force settings in handling meta also help.

@FoxtrotDelta that could be useful with the James, which while steerable, often rolls a lot in the ocean. (i.e. poor stability).

@nathanjamesddg151 the roll can be fixed with center of mass moved around.

@FoxtrotDelta It has a mass value of 3000, the Police Predator is 2500, so there is not much of a mass difference.

@FoxtrotDelta That compares to the tug, which has a mass of 12200, and is not pushed around [a lot] by the Police Predator. And yeah, I guess we all knew it was a mass issue, just we couldn't change it because it would make it impossible to steer.

18000 ish& mid sized destroyer would be23k ishcan be confirmed, via google.

@FoxtrotDelta To be accurate, the Nathan James should displace 9200 tons - or 8346099.61 kg. Not sure what the mass would be of a Flight IIA Arleigh Burke.

that way does not work with, gta 5. in gta 5 we don't have any way of finding out , how much water mass/weight does the ship actually displace. those units are for real life. in ocean.
we only have to match the weight and mass of the ship itself. not water.

@FoxtrotDelta I know. That's why I said I have no idea what the mass would be. But theoretically, one could figure out what the mass is - roughly - from the displacement of the boat and some other stats.

Talking about the weapons, has anyone tried implementing the weapon systems from the yachts to the aircraft carrier. Just a thought.

@IraqVet tried it, those are scirpted automatic weapons. uncontrollable by player. i did't know how to use them manually. so i left them as they are.

The "weapons" from the Yachts are just explosions created near the player. The yachts are just static props and not vehicles so they aren't able to have any real weapons.

Are'nt the Aircraft Carriers static props as well since they are stationary and cant be driven, so what it changed the file names of the carriers to those of the yachts would it be possible for the weapons defense systems to work then as far as auto weapons that fire at oncoming enemy and move from and to the same locations as the yachts. I'm sorry for the stupid questions I'm new here and to modding so I'm a noob.
