Okay, i need help here.
I was looking at the LSIA airport and i thought "it doesn't look right. Let's improve these ugly static planes !" :D
So i created new, more realistic textures for them.These planes are considered as buildings (Annoying, thx R* to not have created a proper A320/737 replica). There are three static planes in the game, but they have their own different .ydr models somehow.

The orange Adios Airlines has two models : ap1_02_planes003 and ap1_02_planes009

The white and blue Air Herler has also two models : ap1_02_planes00 and ap1_02_planes005bb

The Al Capeira plane parked in the corner has one model : ap1_02_planes005
What Rockstar did is that they designed the planes specially for the stock liveries, so it's very hard to modify the textures, since they made the mapping a complete nightmare (see the kangaroo next to the "Qantas" inscription ? It's also used in a very stretched version on the tail !).
So far, i've finished 90% of the mod, but i encounter an issue with the last plane, the Al Capeira one (KLM now).
Because editing the original model was very hard, i replaced its model by a copy of ap1_02_planes003. I had to do some tweaking in Zmodeler so it could use textures that were not included in the .rpf file, but now I encounter one big problem : there is a weird shadow moving all the time over it and defying the laws of physics.
Can anyone help me with this ? Because i really want to complete this mod, that is very close to be finished. Here's how looks my Zmodeler of the plane.

@TheSigui please change first material P_ba_airpln_ae_dm_3 from Adapt normal_spec to Adapt vehicle_mesh & see if the shadow is still there.

@FoxtrotDelta Well here it is now : i don' know if there is a shadow anymore, but i don't think it looks like it should :P
This is the only screenshot i could take before the game, then the computer crashed.

@TheSigui in the material just turn off, specmap white. and use black as specmap. that way , the shine and glow will go away. on top of the material settings. untick the specmap white.

@TheSigui im not sure about the crash though. it should not happen. may be you should revert back the changes and see if it still crashes.

I tried it in this configuration just too see
this time it's not glowing and crashing anymore BUT the shadow is still here.

@TheSigui no, you can choose anyother . vehicle_mesh is crashing it. make sure to not leave any slots emptry .

Quick question: Did you try to just rename the exported plane and replace the other one with the not-so-good mapping? I mean, without importing it into ZMOdeler first?

@SkylineGTRFreak I'm just about to do so.
I just used the Adios Airlines one, imported it in Zmodeler, modified it and replaced the Al Capeira with it. I should have tested it first ; if it works, well i can modify the KLM i already have or start all over again.

@SkylineGTRFreak Okay, good news : when i replace the Al Capeira with the stock Adios Airlines (no modification at all), i don't get this weird shadow issue anymore. So it comes from the KLM model i'm exporting then.

@TheSigui So when it's possible to edit map files will you remove them entirely and replace them with actual, flyable planes?

@Think_Tank Well that's what we are all waiting for anyway. Still, for now, if it was possible, i don't know how i could do that, but i'm still learning.

If we could ever be able to edit map files and adjust/delete/add vehicle spawn locations we would really be able to open up the game... This in my opinion is the Holy Grail...

@DarthPungz Indeed someone should make a script that permits to make any vehicle the player wants (even add-ons) spawn naturally at a desired location.
