Rockstar will remove all mods from openiv. fair warning
-
@gravebraker Mmmm...wat? Rockstar doesn't have access to your PC.
-
@gravebraker warning is not very clear. could you be more clear in explaination?
-
Every time I Launce the game with my Ethernet port in the game goes through a 55.00GB download that deletes all my mods. And when I try to play offline I get a msg saying that I can't login unless I have a sc account....
-
@gravebraker use non steam version for offline play
-

I do not have steam I have the hard copy.
-
@gravebraker Do you use OpenIV's mods folder feature?
-
Actually I don't.
-
@gravebraker well there is your problem. use Mod folder!
-
@gravebraker Yep, like FoxtrotDelta above said, that's your problem.
The Rockstar Warehouse version seems to have a feature that checks the game files every time the game launches for any modified files, when using the mods folder feature, it can't do the check since the modified files are located in the mods folder
-
@Carrythxd thats also the steam feature to check files before launch.
-
@FoxtrotDelta Really? I've never had that, and I've had the Steam version since release (and I've used mods without the mods folder). But my mistake, I thought it was just the R* Warehouse version!
-
@Carrythxd Yes, I can confirm that this is also apply to Steam version of the game
-
@Cloud_Power Oh, wow, guess I'm just lucky
-
@Carrythxd Well, yeah
-

No need for video , easy way is to create a folder in your game directory named "mods" (without the "" of course) and copy your entire game inside (all rpf , no need for exe or dll)
Then modify only files in mods folder , game will automaticaly load mods folder
-
Simple enough. I've been troubleshooting like a seasoned programmer for the last week but I've learned a lot. Thanks. I'm just a die hard gammer!
-
What about the mods I installed directly into the game directory ( script hook V, native trainer, open all Interiors add-on car spawner, arrest warrants, xcetera) I uninstalled openiv then reinstalled it but the mods are still there...
-
@ChOcOsKiZo I have your Lincoln town car mod can't wait to use it you have a nice selection love your cars
