New To GTA V Modding

  • I am looking for help on how to install mod menu or trainers for offline play only! Can anyone point me in the right direction on menus/trainers/etc?

    Thanks!

  • @JobyLoveLamp You're probably going to find it difficult at the moment because a recent update has rendered one of the critical files outdated. Until that is back up to date a lot of the mods won't work.

Until then, I would recommend a read through this thread to get yourself familiar with what you might need and how things work. https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/1451/tutorial-a-few-things-you-should-learn-to-do-properly-when-installing-mods

  • @LeeC2202 Very helpful information. Thank you. Is there anywhere I could go to receive notification when an updated file is ready to be used?

  • @JobyLoveLamp If you go to this mod page https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/script-hook-v

On that page, click on Follow Updates, that should notify you when a new version has been uploaded. That's the file that most mods need, so that's the one to watch.

And if you're in need of entertainment, the comments are hilarious at times like this. :D

I love reading comments on Script Hook V and .NET pages.

  • @LeeC2202 Hi. Im new to gta5 modding. I tried doing a few car mods, i got 2 or 3 right. I want to do the replacing method. But in most if not all "read me instructions" they have mpexecutivevehicle, but that file does not exist in my gta5 file nor int openiv. Can you direct me as to what i need to do ? Thanks.

  • @Tukondjele Hello and welcome to the fun world of GTAV modding.

If you go to your main game folder, then into update\x64\dlcpacks, you will find a folder called mpexecutive. You need to copy this folder to the same place in your mods folder. This would be mods\update\x64\dlcpacks.

Once you have copied the folder into there, you will be able to use OpenIV to replace the vehicle files in that folder. Like this:

  • @Tukondjele If that's a picture, it doesn't seem to have uploaded properly. If you are using the image link, make sure you just replace the text that says "image url" with the url to your image.

  • Hello I want to add mods because I got bored with the regular cars so I was wondering what to do to get started or find out how to get the mods I need to have someone instruct me through the process please very appreciated if anyone can help!

  • (I need it for an Xbox 360 offline gameplay only) @LeeC2202
