Textures...

So when I create a black texture colour, in game it shows black with green tint and sometimes light purple patches all over it.
Anyone had a similar problem and found a fix??
-
Yeah i have this problem sometimes. It's really annoying but there is like no way to fix it i'm pretty sure; Even in photoshop cs6 you get that purple/green tint on some textures that are black or just dark in general. It's definitely not as bad in photoshop as it is in some other photo editing programs so if you don't already have photoshop i suggest getting it to reduce that ugly purple/green tint.

@420x420 Yeah I use Photoshop CS6 as well. It's a shame though, because I think the game increases the colour saturation.
Why does something so simple have to be so difficult!?

@Spud Is this for something in particular? I've not had this problem so if you can give me an idea of what it's for, I'll have a look. It could be something like a specular map on the model causing the tinting.
If you re-export the texture back out of the game, is it tinted in the exported DDS file?

@LeeC2202
Firstly it's for a ped model. A model from Arkham Knight so all original texture, spec and normal maps are used to maintain quality. However, this problem has occured previously with different ped models.I exported the .dds file and had a look but there was no tinting whatsoever.
Might be a problem with the normals, I'll see.

@LeeC2202 are you a 3dmax texture expert?

@VEntertainment Not an expert by a long way, but I've spent a fair amount of time using it... not for about 5 or 6 years though.
