trying to replicate the sparkle in a car texture for gta V in Photoshop. anyone have any suggestions

@maybach123 Do you mean like the pearlescent effect or metallic? If so, that's probably done in the shader rather than the texture.

@maybach123 It took me about 2 minutes to do this from scratch:
In another 2 I could replicate the stripes. I could tell you how or you could go with pre-made styles that are similar.

just the metallic effect

@maybach123 That'll be the pixel shader for the material then that creates that.
If you overlay a decal onto a car that is using a metallic paint, the decal stays normal because it's the shader underneath that is providing the effect.
The only way it would work slightly differently, is if the material was multi-layerd and the effect was added to the top layer after the decal had been applied. Like a base layer -> Decal Layer -> lacquer layer kind of effect.
