[Question]Handling.Meta: Airplane, VTOL and Helicopter Speed

  • Greetings:

Where (what line) do i alter the vertical speed of flying vehicles?

    Thank you.

  • @Sammy1970 I guess @SkylineGTRFreak can answer that. ;)

  • @Kwebbl It is weird: I altered the F35 Lightning II's drive speed and force (fInitialDriveForce, fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel), the thing refuses to ride.
No effect on airspeed (this was expected).
Altered the first set of CFlyingHandlingData (second set is for the VTOL's Horizontal flight, or climbing speed/force) (fThrust value= 7500 (comes from 0.9 (this is said to affect speed and general engine power, but I absolutely do not notice difference)), fThrustFallOff value= 0.1 (comes from .000083 (is said to be the Ground Idle Time and In Air Acceleration, but again, I notice nothing)).
Though, according to many a website, those are THE values if one wants to change airplane speeds.

    I'm baffled...

  • Pretty sure that the first flying entry (the normal one) regulates speed for both flying modes

  • Thrust Value... I altered this to insane numbers (it finally crashed after a billion-like number) but it did not change a thing.
As I said in the previous post.

Altering the second set of CFlyingHandlingData, I did get an insane lift-speed on the VTOL, this I brought back to normal levels.
Odd, the alteration works with the lift force of set 2, but the same value in set one seems simply ignored, no matter what I put there.

@Global-Moderators please put this topic into Modding Request and Help?
I made an error posting this one here.
    Thank you kindly. :)

  • @Sammy1970 This seems like the right place for me. :) You don't need help in troubleshooting.

  • @Akila_Reigns Bloody... then I have a few topics in Troubleshooting that do not belong there...
    O_O
Could you move Weapon Lock On and Sandking Bug to here, please?

    And my apologies...
