Welcome to GTA5-Mods.com and the community forums! First things first, please read the community guidelines before posting to know what kinds of discussions are permissible on the forums. I'll make an attempt to address some of the frequently asked questions I get about the site - feel free to create your own topic if your question is not addressed and I will do my best to answer.
How do I mod my console (PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One)?
Console versions are not supported on this site - all mods here are for PC only.
Can I use these mods for online use?
No. The mods on this site are generally designed for singleplayer use only, and discussions about modding GTA: Online with the intent of cheating are not supported or allowed. Furthermore, your RGSC account may get banned by Rockstar for using mods online.
Can I get a money drop or hacked GTA: Online account?
No. That's not the kind of modding we do here - this site is for singleplayer PC mods only, and cheating online is neither supported nor encouraged.
Do I need a genuine version of GTA V to use mods?
Pirated versions are not supported on this site and are not guaranteed to work properly.
Which version of GTA V is required to use mods?
You're encouraged to always use the latest game patch version (patch info and release dates available at R* Support). Older versions may work - please check individual mod pages and comments for more specific support.
Is it safe to download mods from this site?
All mods are checked for malware before being approved by an administrator. Please use common personal security practices and activate an anti-virus if you are using any tools or scripts downloaded from the site for extra protection. Also be cautious if downloading any updates for mods from in-app prompts or other GTA modding websites.
How long does it take to get my file approved?
Uploads are verified by an administrator before they're published on the site. This process can take up to 24 hours depending on the timing of the upload. Please check the comments section of your upload for any notifications from an administrator and always reply back to any questions using @ replies (e.g. @Global-Moderators) to make sure your replies are seen. Uploads are currently approved by @Global-Moderators.
How does my file get featured?
At the end of the day, the past 24 hours of uploads are generally assessed for number of likes, downloads and comments within that one day period, and the best ones from a variety of categories are picked. There are no specific criteria for getting featured, and it does not happen automatically when you reach a certain amount of likes. Sometimes files with lower download or like counts may get featured over others because they are in different categories and help to introduce some variety to the featured files, so they are not always car mods, for example. Sometimes there are too many highly downloaded mods uploaded in one day, and not all can be featured - I will try to address those mods in future updates. Please do not message me asking to have your mod featured or asking why one mod was featured over another. If you think a newly uploaded or updated mod should be featured, you can put in your say by liking, downloading and voting on it. Thanks!
Why isn't the site available in my language?
All site translations are provided by users like you! If your native language is not already fully translated on the site and you have a firm grasp on the English language, please send to @Dark0ne a private message and I will let you know how you can contribute to a translation. You'll even get a nifty "TRANSLATOR" badge on your profile!
How can I become a moderator or administrator?
