[REDUX] Top ReShade Options by Hue, Saturation, and Lightness (HSL)

  • 1.Summary

Each option has varying color depth, contrast, brightness, and sharpness, etc. that appeals to different likings. Time and weather also play a significant role in how they appear. However, if you're into GTA V cinematography or photography, here are my personal top choices.

    2.Definitions

    • HSL → Hue, Saturation, Lightness.
    • ✪ → More stars means it's better

  • @Richie01 Nicely written.

My mixture of Redux and Natural Vision seems the best for me.

  • @Akila_Reigns Thanks :D you should make a similar post XD

  • @Richie01 About what?

  • @Richie01 I'll think about it. Might be a good idea.

  • @V4D3R which redux ReShade version is the best to use without losing to much performence the redux light one ?

  • @InYourFace I think the "ultra" versions are the heaviest. I'm not sure though, I don't use it anymore.

  • @InYourFace

    • In General
Redux (Original) looks good without any performance loss.
    • Low-Spec PC
Redux (Light) is the way to go.
    • Gaming PC
      • Everything mentioned in the list above will give you decent performance except Redux Ultra V2, it has a small impact on FPS.

  • @Richie01
thnx useful information i use the light version atm.

the only thing what i dont like is the stutter even if i have good fps lowest what ive seen is 30 - 29 fps for the rest 45 - 55 - 59/60

the stutter part it happens sometimes not always a sort duaration is that comming from the mod or is it coz i dont have an SSD

what will happen if i turn everything on low graphics will the ReShade do the job or its better to keep the graphics settings up?

ive turned the MSAA off it seems to help a bit with the stuttering but, i dont like the edges with that setting off even when i have FXAA on

    PC Specs :

AMD FX 8350 4.0 ghz turbo core off hate that future makes games slower

CPU Cooler Scythe Mugen 4 PCGH Edition coz amd got hot didnt overclock it coz amd temps are barley readable i dont trust core temp

xfx radeon hd 7970 double dissipation 3 gb

    8 gb memory

    1 terabyte harddisk

    MB : asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0

well i thought that my pc could handle good ReShade
but the stutter part + the ugly edges i hate

  • @InYourFace Redux made my game slow too, I have a GTX 1080, i7 6700k and 32 GB RAM.

I don't think the lack of an SSD is a major issue. However, a high-end GPU and a high-end CPU will significantly maximize your gaming experience. Lowering your settings may help, and I would also suggest trying different options provided in @F7YO gameconfig. Remember to backup files before changing them.

    • Performance Killers
MSAA is a performance killer; setting it to off or low (x2) will improve performance.
Grass is a performance killer; setting it to normal or high is best.
High-Resolution Shadows is a performance killer; setting it to off will improve performance.
Screen Recorder / Overlays such as FRAPS, Steam Overlay, Shadowplay, Overwolf, Camtasia, etc. may cause performance issues. If you have any, disabling them may improve performance.
GPU Software Optimization such as AMD Gaming Evolved and Nvidia Geforce Experience may automatically "optimize" your game for the worst (I know it should do the opposite), best to turn that off and manually set everything to maximum performance.

I run Redux with the above mentioned Reshade presents just fine with my setup.

    • My Setup
      • CPU: Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.60GHz
      • GPU: NVidia Geforce GTX 960M
      • RAM: 16GB
      • HDD: 1TB 5400 RPM
      • OS: Windows 10.1 Home 64-bit

If GTA V vanilla works well for you, then Redux is the root cause of the issue, otherwise, it could be hardware.

  • @Richie01 other option i get deep and rick POV filmitic can you tell me what the other refer too?

  • LOL, WTF ^^^^^

  • @eshenk My friend, this memory is being saved somewhere special.

  • @krashadam Yeah, a scrapbook of "WTFs", LOL...
