OpenIV Team presents Liberty City in GTA V (Teaser trailer 1)
Don't you guys think it's a little too ambitious? With most optimistic estimation porting it will take a couple of years in best case scenario, but in the end we will have pretty much huge empty map with nothing to do, aye?
It reminds me of projects like Skyblivion or Skywind, which drag for years and years past... I just don't get the point of doing it.
وش السالفة ؟
@xRaBTr gta v في liberty city فريق اوبن اي في سوا
وبيطرحونه للتحميل بس ماحددوا متى
Our team have great plans for GTA V modding and today I want to share some of them with you:
In the next several months, we are going to update all our core tools and mods, and then make first release of our Liberty City in V convertor.
Our current plan is pretty simple:
- OpenIV 2.9
- OpenIV 2.9.1 + openCamera 2.0
- OpenIV 3.0 + Liberty City in V [Beta 1]
We do not have exact or even estimate dates, but for now we are plan to release first version of Liberty City during the spring season (March, April, May).
That is all I have for you today.
@Abdulrhman1 Do you think will it have traffic?
@bur587 It will have traffic
But not much in the first version
I can full-heartedly say that my biggest wish will come true
need alpha testers?
Q: How can I get access to early preview or beta version?
A: There is no private beta or something like this. As soon as mod will have proper state, it will be released to public.
Q: How can I help?
A: In a future, we will need help with creating some arts, additional assets, testing etc. We will announce it separately.
That was more what I was hinting at...
Btw, you guys probably have the PNG image from @jackrobot for navigating through the archives?
(can't seem to find it 1-2-3 on my hdd, I mean the colored picture showing which parts of LC are located in which *.img and *.wtd)
@Abdulrhman1 تتوقع ان رح نقدر نحول مابات للعبة ؟
قبل ماينزلون الماب راح ينزلون تحديث للبرنامج عشان يدعم خاصية اضافة المابات
وزيمودلر نفس الشي
@Zackintosh Yup, saw them on their site. Can't wait to try it out.
Really hope that someone manages to bring over hbx84's amazing World Trade Center mod as well
This is like a dream come true!
At least that way I can extract some of my earlier work from my hdd
@Zackintosh Did you tag me for a specific reason?
@LeeC2202 To spread the news, I guess, I mean why else would someone tag me?
@LeeC2202 @Akila_Reigns lol, no not really. Just thought I'd tag you because
- I thought you'd be interested.
- As @Akila_Reigns said, to spread the news.
@Zackintosh Oh... okay.
news would be if something had the pic I requested, can't believe no-one has that floating around
looks promising, i'm only afraid that that "super rockstar dlc" announced since the beginning might be related to some gta 4 to gta 5 map extension, would suck balls very hard for the openiv team, hope it's something else (if they're actually doing some dlc)
GTA5.FR made an interview with @GooD-NTS about the new Liberty City in GTA V mod. You can check it out here. The interview is in French, so if you don't understand French you can translate the page by clicking the translate button at the right of the web address bar in Google Chrome. Google translations (to English) are fairly accurate in this interview.
@GooD-NTS also provided some new screenshots of the mod.
@Zackintosh thanks for tagging, if always wanted to see IV with V's graphics! It's. Going to be awesome!
I know the intention is to add peds, but now if only someone could make a zombie mod that wasnt so hard on cpu, this deserted town would be perfect
Update from @GooD-NTS:
"" Liberty City is coming in 2017, but not in the spring.
Not great news, but many of you already suspect this, our Liberty City mod is delayed.
To make this crystal clear:
- Mod is delayed because we currently do not have much time to spend on modding (and Liberty City requires a lot of time). We all have lives outside of modding and sometimes it is just impossible to spend time on modding because we just do not have that time. Anyway we are trying to do something every day, so there is progress but not much as hoped.
- We do not have any new technical issues that prevent or block progress.
- We do not have any illegal issues (yet?)
- When we announced our Liberty City mod back in January we didn’t know that we will not have much time, you can’t always predict what happens in your life and what not.
- There is nothing you can do right now to speed up the release.
- It is impossible to release the current version of the mod.
Please be patient. I will not provide any estimates for release anymore, so you will not be disappointed.""
