Show forum notifications on main site

I visit gta5-mods.com frequently, but not forums.gta5-mods.com as much. Would it be possible to show notifications from the forums on the main gta5-mods.com site? If not, would email notifications of forum notifications be possible?

@Jitnaught Definitely something I want to do, but it's a little complicated since this is a whole different notification system (and server). I made some progress on it in the past then just sort of stopped. Will pick it up again soon. Thanks for the suggestion
