Clip recording length/duration or Rockstar Editor camera postion Mod

I've come across a few threads from years back enquiring about the follow issues/ideas, but I've not found an answer anywhere online. Perhaps somebody here can shed some light on the situation.

The clip recording feature is limited in terms of the duration the clips are split into during each recording. It can be frustrating if you want to do long, still shots in Free Camera mode.

So, I am wondering two things:

Does anyone know of anyone who successfully made a mod that extends the recording length of clips in GTAV (F1) during gameplay?
and/or
Has the rockstar editor mod ever been modded? It would be great to have a way to save the camera position/co-ordinates in one clip, for reuse in another clip.

Any thoughts?

The duration of the clips depends on the HDD/SSD space, sometimes I can't make record more than 15 seconds - when my HDD is full. I don't know any mods that extends the recording time.
Yes, well kinda. OpenIV's Open Camera feature removes the camera limitations in Rockstar Editor. There's another mod, which allows you to export videos in different qualities. Better than the default export quality.

I'm not sure if you are correct on the first item. I have read elsewhere that the duration is RAM dependent, although I cannot confirm.
Based on your idea, I experimented by freeing up a huge amount of hard drive space, and recording an identical scene to one I did yesterday, the duration was even shorter with more HD space.

So mysterious!
