Help needed asap!

Long story short:
I bought the retail version (dvd rom) 7 disc install.
downloaded game and creating social club
now I'm trying to place mods and have fun but I cant find the right place to drag the mods.
for example I cant find directory all I see is "this pc> documents > rockstar games> gta5 and that's it. that cant be the directory right? the exe. I thought it was but I would place mods there and do everything right but no mod menu pops up when I click the keyswhen I click gta5 this is what pops up
profiles:
user music:
videos:
bootstrap:
launcher:
settings:that's all I can literally find. by the way the game runs and works great online and story mode. I just cant find the gta5exe. aka directory!
please help!

@KiiingEsco The retail version's directory is usually C\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V

@KiiingEsco If you can find the shortcut on your desktop or in your start menu, go to that shortcut, Right-Click the shortcut and choose Open file location.

I'm so sorry but it makes me laugh seeing these types of questions.
Anyways in the installation wizard you specify where you install the game, so that's where your game is!

@GTAVModder4Life Some users just click next, next, next, accept the EULA and click Install without bothering to read anything.
Maybe he's one of them.

@Akila_Reigns that's quite a horrible thing to do, at least for me, because I keep all my games outside of the C directory. But, well at least he learned from this mistake.

go to that shortcut, Right-Click the shortcut and choose Open file location.
