GTA 5 REDUX MOD Stuck at 'Loading Story Mode'

Been trying to install GTA 5 REDUX for hours, trying different tutorials and versions of ScriptHookV to no avail. Tried it over and over again, with a clean install every time.
But my game just hangs at the loading screen. It shows the two text overlays when the game is launched and notice the new screen shots and music but that's it, it just hangs from there on.
I did have the memory crash but fixed it with the gameconfig.xml fix.
Haven't used the PATCHDAY 1 as no one used it in the tutorials, will that fix it?
Can someone please help me get this running, I've tried on and off since it's release last year and I still can't get it to run.
