I need to push this, because since the last update, i can't run my car mod dlc in combination with others. The resources are now so much reached and i tried any updated new gameconfig
We need to do something. I hear alot performence problems and crashes from other modders that i know. The problem is getting bigger. And i hope R* will not downgrade any other graphic effect with the next update, like they did on EmissiveMultiplier.
I NOTICED THIS:
That evry new update that comes out its only my car mods or (car dlcs) that crash game or give some kind of error after an hour (ruffly) of playing but when disabled without disabling other mods its fine even tried the game with only just car mods or (car dlcs) no other mods and gave same result even went as far as adding in cars one by one most ive gotten too is about 60-70 cars added in til it finally gives those errors stated i thought it was just conflicting with other mods or a specific car but nope its just vehicles in general and to me size of a vehicle like ( 2mb 8mb 16mb etc) dont really matter well in my case they didnt but i just always wanted this request fulfilled i will even donate aswell with no problem donated to plenty of modders that ther mod made a big difference in some way to my game...........................But

@Southsde04 Hopefully it can be fixed, if not after every update we probably will have more frequent crashes, and have to remove more car mods

there are hard limits set in the game's EXE
that are not overruled by gameconfig.xml memory poolsizes
as long as those boundaries are not stretched
then indeed the headroom for mods remains limited
esp the 2648 packfile mount limit (the rpf archives) which in most cases is the root for ERR_FIL_PACK_1

@Southsde04 My game updated and I just copied all my old rpf's and mods over and everything seemed to work out this time round. But I am more selective with what cars I install - altho I use @westcoastsosa's car pack which I stripped out as well cause a lot of those caused crashes for me. But yeah it is definitely car mods that cause way too many problems, and I also found that blood mods, and weapon sound mods crash my game.
I think it's just GTA V is the hardest game to mod successfully

What about a tool that packs all the DLC files into the root directory? That way nobody is "stealing" anything?

@cp1dell Doable but not viable, could ends in lots of bugs and infinite loading screen by one reasson: Are too much parameters to be extracted, listed and builded in less DLC number, making longer the file pack parsing. That is the reasson for R* not try join DLC to reduce file calls.
This is the best loading file packs for games: Less file pack size = Less parsing time for file packs and faster data transfer + memory override speed.

@MetaGTA Since the online content typically isn't utilized in SP, is it possible to simply remove the DLCs from the dlclist file and such so the game doesn't bother loading them?

but whats the point of removing the DLC from the dlclist file? because if you remove them you dont have the DLC cars, helicopters etc in SP

@shephart try playing the retail version with no dlcs like playing it out the box in 2013 yu will see how fast and smooth the game is even with mods trust me

@shephart I assume the game would load slightly faster since it doesn't have to bother loading all the DLC content.
Personally I don't care if I miss out on the DLC content in SP. Pretty much all the vehicles don't have damage models, and the weapons aren't anything special. The online content was lazily developed and is comparable to crappy fan-made mods.

Can somebody help list what each DLC is called in the dlclist file? It's worth noting you probably shouldn't remove any of the DLCs that were out before the enhanced edition release, since in the enhanced version the vehicles were added to traffic and such.
But does anyone know exactly what each name in the files is? Like I know luxe and luxe2 are the I'll Gitten Gains DLCs, but some others I'm not too sure about. And what are the patchday#ng DLCs?
