Spooner Object Issues

  • Ok. So I'm a heavy GTA V "modder" - I have a ton of mods in my game, starting with; Redux, nearly 40 car additions, 2 trainers, about 30 scripts, etc, etc. Maybe this isn't too much to some, but either way - my point being...

I'm trying to use the scripts for the online Cunning Stunt maps. But when I load them up, I seem to have an issue where I would just go through some of the objects. Mainly the flat surfaced ones (sorry I do not know the correct names for the objects - but they are the ones that are red white and blue, flat surface, or any other flat surface, really).

For example, if I'm doing the script for the Chiliad stunt level, as soon as I start to drive on the red/white surface, that is intended for the track, it makes the sound for a booster and I fall right through it. Even some ramps will do this, as well.

Now I've heard that if you mess with any files in 'textures', this may cause issues with other textures. I cannot say if something like Redux would have any affects with this.

But again, if anyone has any known solutions, that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks, again. :)

  • @DeadCruiser

Hey, have you tried un-installing or replacing back the files Redux or any other texture modifiers/enhancers changed and then tried out the stunt race?

  • The only thing I had attempted was disabling the mods folder, so it has something to do with redux or some other texture mod. I just had not narrowed it down to a specific one at the moment.

Welp, it IS Redux, unfortunately that causes this issue.

  • @Great-Britain Solution found! I went through the files of Redux. Which to my avail, I was able to browse through the Redux .oiv files with a program like 7zip. Now, unfortunately, the way the file structure is for Redux is not 100% complete. Only organized with an installation .xml file. So it did take some time, but THANKFULLY it was only within the first few files... none the less, it did take me about an hour or so to come to this conclusion.

Anyway, the solution: replace the files in "update/update.rpf/common/data/materials" - which are MATERIALS.DAT and PROCEDURAL.META

I am happy and I'm hoping those files don't ruin the experience for me in a different way.
    Thanks for the input, otherwise.
