Missing model w/ addon

  • Dear Mod/Admin,
I'm new to GTA addons, and nothing has worked so far. I've got LUA(dot)asi, menyoo, scripthook v(the latest version) and of course, open iv. ive updated all my programs and my game, and nothing seems to be helping. Whenever I try to spawn a vehicle i get the (Invalid Model) error. I was wondering if theres a common fix to this. I should also add, that every car addon ive installed has either crashed my game during loading or ive gotten the classic memory error. Thank you and have a good evening. ps: this is the mod im trying to use- https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/2010-dodge-challenger-srt8-rampage-edition-add-on-replace-template .
    -newvents

  • @newvents A common fix... that depends, this has fixed the problem for a lot of people. https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars

Make sure to choose the x1 Ped and x1 Vehicle density.

The problem is though, that we have no idea if you have installed or configured everything properly. We have no idea whether any of the scripts or scripthooks you have installed are causing any errors. We don't even know which version of the game you are running or if you are using a mods folder or not.

Unless we get even basic information. we can't make any kind of guess as to what the problem is. Think of it like going to the doctor and saying "I'm not feeling well", they can't tell what's wrong with that amount information.

So if that gameconfig doesn't work, tell us more... much more.

  • @LeeC2202 the config didnt help. my version of the game is 1.0.944.2, and everything else is at that version, and im not entirely sure if i downloaded the files for the mod correctly. they go into the mods folder-x64-dlcpacks and the dlclist and extratitleupdatedata are accessed through openiv version 2.8 in folder mods-update(dot)rpf-common-data?

  • @newvents addons go into mods\update\x64\dlcpacks, is that where you are putting them? So for that mod above, the full path should be mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\rampage10\dlc.rpf

Ignore anything that tells you to change extratitleupdatedata, that file never needs changing with an addon vehicle... or any mod from this site saying that.

    dlclist.xml goes into mods\update\update.rpf\common\data

  • @LeeC2202 I fixed my problem. Ive got a bit of background in programming, so im ashamed i missed it. my path to the mods was mods/, then x64 and update.rpf were seperated, so the game was trying to read the two seperately and not under one file. thank you for your help anyways and have a good morning/evening!

  • @newvents It's easily done... glad you found it.
