just got gta5 and brand new to modding and am trying to open OPEN IV
- where is GTA5.exe
- can someone explain maybe easier how to install the Wade player model to me

Have you bought the game via steam or do you have the disk version ? That's the most important thing for me to know to help you

@billistic82 Then GTA5.exe is located wherever you installed GTA V. Typically C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V

I still dont see gta5.exe and will not open openIV

@billistic82 Right-click your GTA V shortcut and click "Open file location".

@billistic82 Launch OpenIV; under Grand Theft Auto V, click Windows. If it asks you for your GTA V directory, go to the folder where GTA5.exe is. Click the address bar and it should give you the folder address already highlighted (if you're using Windows 10). Just copy that and paste it in OpenIV.

ok that worked thanks know do I need to install anything else or am I ready to mod? I installed the asi manager and that gave me a mod folder bot its empty do I put any thing in it?

@billistic82 It's recommend to use OpenIV mods folder feature before you start modding, that way you don't have to worry about the modified files if you plan on playing GTA Online with the same copy. Along with that make sure you also install the ASI Loader and OpenIV.asi files from OpenIV -> Tools -> ASI Manager

@Carrythxd I installed the asi manager and that gave me a mod folder but its empty do I put any thing in it?

@billistic82 "6 – Now you have to copy RPF archives into “mods” folder. For example, if you want to modify “Grand Theft Auto V\update\update.rpf” you need to copy it like “Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf”."
