Control how deep a submarine lies in the water

Does anyone know how to control how deep a submarine lies in the water when it's surfaced? I tried editing fPercentSubmerged in the handling.meta and moving the sub a little bit up in ZModeler but nothing works.
It's just too deep in the water when it is surfaced. I've added a little bridge on top of the tower of my submarine but it's constantly flooded.Thanks in advance!
