Yea, I'm working on one which should be released some time soon. No working weapons however. It's based on the Legend class cutters, but I modified certain parts to look different. It will be a "GTA Version" of the cutter. Still looking for a suitable name ans hull number...

@Elope The chnages only include a slightly different hull, different deck markings and two boat slippers instead of one. If I don't tell anyone, noone will notice

@Voltrock I see that too. @SkylineGTRFreak I wonder if the bump maps from the Nathan James would make the hull look like...a metal hull with welded plates.

@Oskar boats and the submarine use special sahders "nosplash" and "nowater". You can see in ZModeler, that boats have white meshes over their floors or entrances. So when you look from above, the water under it will not be rendered/invisible. But it only works for when you're looking at it from a certain angle...
I really suck at explaining this, but... that wouldn't work for that carrier. One could possibly edit the water planes (not plane as in aircraft, but plane as in area). to remove them from the where the carrier is placed.
But then again idk how it'd look like underneath the carrier then -.-

@SkylineGTRFreak Are there any maps that have a level that is underwater like we would need for the aircraft carrier?

@nathanjamesddg151 I can't really think of one... The Yacht, carrier, Humane Labs... None of them as something underneath the water surface.

@SkylineGTRFreak hmm... also, we should stop hijacking this thread. could you experiment? Like create a simple object in zmodeler and port it into GTA? I guess that's the fastest way to find out what the end result will be.

@SkylineGTRFreak You can't see the water in subs in first person too. And you're not suffering any damage so maybe we can somehow use the shader for our case.
And yeah, I thought about the possibility of editing the water levels too. I guess we have to try it out how it looks and works.

Just had an idea. We could make a custom prop and give it the nowater shader. Then we could attach the prop right in front of the player's eyes once he enters the interior of the carrier (below the water line) so that it looks that there was no water. And some script magic should give us the ability to walk underwater.

i'm not sure what you mean, but i've made a map where all the map is underwater ( except chiliad top ), you can reuse the water.xml and set it as yu want if you need

But, may with script you could make an invisible water quad ( there is a property for that in water.xml) around the carrier part that you want but it will be probably making the undercarrier water buggy but don't know a lot on how the water work sorry ;S
