New mods show up late in "Latest uploads" ?

Hi,
As new mods get uploaded everyday on this site, I gained the habit of opening the front page each day to see what's new on the "latest uploads" section. However, later on the day, new mods pop up but as if they were uploaded yesterday, as they show up in page 2 or 3, along with uploads I've already seen from the past day.
Am I the only one?

@zebracherub Sometimes a file that took a little longer for approval may fall behind others that have been updated since it was first uploaded. If a mod author takes a long time to get their file up to approval quality, I'll generally bump it up in the "latest uploads" spot anyway so that it's seen.
