Removing Static Planes
-
Is it possible to remove those horrible static planes completely. When i found the files for it in openiv and deleted them completely a super low poly version with no textures showed up in game. Does anyone know how to just remove them or are they embedded inside the gta map itself. I want to replace them with add on planes using a persistence mod.

@wlupoli You may have to use 3DS Max or ZModeler3 to remove the props. They may be embedded in the map though.
-
oh that sucks then
-
@NotCrunchyTaco if it is embedded in the gta map, then is there anyway possible to open the core of the gta map in zmodeler or 3ds max?
-
@wlupoli Possibly.....
-
Isn't that a leftover LOD?The plane might have occlusion culling.

^ Yeah propably LOD
try searching for airport.rpf , maybe there will be some LOD's
Find the correct file with the planes and export it to open formats if possible (i don't know if it is , just an idea) then replace the file with blank file (Just open it with notepad remove everything and type one letter)

@wlupoli it's maybe possible but would requir a lot of 3d edit wich make it hardcore, since some part are embeded in the terrain ( mostly the lod and col)
else here are the model :
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\ap1_02_planes00.ydr
(plus other that are following)Lod ( i found only this one): \GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_lod.rpf\ap1_lod_slod4.ydr
Col that contain plane in it :
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\ap1_02_2.ybn
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\ap1_02_0.ybn
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\ap1_02_3.ybn
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\hi@ap1_02_1.ybn
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\hi@ap1_02_3.ybn
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\hi@ap1_02_4.ybn
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\hi@ap1_02_5.ybn
GtaV\x64l.rpf\levels\gta5_cityw\airport_01\ap1_02.rpf\hi@ap1_02_9.ybnGood luck xP
