Corrupted Archive
-
Hey guys! So somehow my addonpeds peds.rpf became corrupted. But the menu still works in game and all 80 of the addons peds that I put in the .rpf still work in game. I'd be tempted to leave it this way if I were finished adding in models. Simply i'm asking if it's possible to repair a corrupted .rpf. If not I have a backup with about half of the ones I added, so all isn't lost

@westcoastsosa By corrupted, what do you mean? I mean, if it still shows up in game, it should be fine. If its something Social Club is telling you, just ignore it.
-
@AHK1221 I'm unable to open it in openIV. That's the only way I can add more peds
-
@westcoastsosa Try right clicking the rpf, and choose Save Content/Export and export all the things to a folder. Then delete that rpf. Then create a new one with the same name. Then put the things you extracted before into the new rpf.
-
@westcoastsosa I think the issue is that you need to create a folder, name it something, and then drag your .rpf into that folder. Make sure to name it something that matches what it says in your dlclist.xml as well. It will then open for you I believe.

@eshenk RPFs still open when you don't edit the dlclist.xml in OpenIV. I think it really did get corrupted for him.
-
@AHK1221 still corrupted:p
-
@westcoastsosa That means something is wrong with one of your addonpeds. After creating a new archive, add the peds one by one, the one you extracted before.
-
@AHK1221 It was a reminder. I think he's missing a step. the dlc.rpf needs to be placed in a folder that he names. For example "my addon peds". It sounds to me like he just dropped the dlc.rpf in with all the other DLC folders.

@AHK1221 It's becoming quite regular for certain items in my mods folder to get corrupted out of nowhere
-
@eshenk But he did say that the mods still worked for him ;P
-
@eshenk no it's in a folder named addonpeds and that has the dlc.rpf which I can open then that houses 2 xmls and the peds.rpf which is corrupted
-
@westcoastsosa Which rpf did you extract?
-
@AHK1221 I extracted the peds.rpf
-
@westcoastsosa Like I said, delete the rpf, create a new one, add the peds one by one. Then you'll know whats bugging out.
