How can I replace Franklin's Bagger?

  • MODERATOR

    How can I replace Franklin's Bagger? I've used this mod The Character Vehicle Mod, but it can't be used to replace Franklin's fugly bike ('bagger' = 'trash' in Dutch, btw). I really want that green piece of fei-oo out of my sight! :)

  • @meimeiriver I don't think his bike is that ugly, it just don't match with his gangsta profile, he should have like a sports bike, it suits him better, don't you think?

    @ReNNie in English please, rifk

  • @meimeiriver You replace it the same way you would do any other vehicle. Just find the bike you like, and rename it to bagger.ytd and .yft, etc

    @ReNNie Yes yes, what have you got against America?

  • @BikerJohnny What's it to you if @ReNNie used Dutch to post a comment? The OP @meimeiriver is from Netherlands, and @ReNNie's comment is for him, not you.

    The Character Vehicle Mod allows me to replace the default car with a tuned/customized version of it, with the colors and upgrades I want, etc. I don't just want the default bike there.

    LOL. Perfect Dutch. :)

    P.S. I see you're from South-Africa; so that makes sense.

    @V4D3R my apologies, I thought this was an English speaking site.

    It makes no sense to have a thread start in English and a few other languages dip in and out. I'd argue the above post is taking it off topic.

    Just my two cents. You're the mod, as a member here, I would like my opinion considered.

    You thought wrong. :) Actually, this site is in English, for the most part, but mods often encourage ppl to formulate questions in their native tongue even (so any of the resident translators will then have a go at it).

    So, relax. And (puts on Cara voice) just dance! :)

  • @BikerJohnny The other day I saw the comment "You can say that again" on a non-English speaking thread. That was equally considered unwelcome... if you remember. That little exchange has since been purged from the thread in question.

    1. This is not an English only site, neither the main site or the forums... in fact the main site actively supports thirty-one different languages, all of which are equally welcome (and encouraged) on the forums.

    2. Users are free to choose whatever language they prefer, at any time in the thread. If there are users who speak a common language, it makes more sense for them to communicate in the language they know best or prefer. They're not talking for our benefit, if we can't understand them then that is not their problem.

    3. Neither the moderators, or the owner of the site, will accept and allow users to be derided or ridiculed, because of their choice of language.

    If you believe that users should be forced to speak in English, then I would suggest you PM rappo with your concerns, or start a poll in the Site Feedback and Questions section. I doubt for one minute that it will happen but at least you will have the chance to have your opinion considered, as every user is entitled to do.

    Now if we can let the people who are actually taking part in this thread continue with their discussion, I am sure they will appreciate that.

    @LeeC2202

    "You can say that again""

    Is in no way offensive. I will from now on be speaking in my native tongue

    mofo

    ^^ That i understood. :P

    Seriously, though, this is a forum with a highly international character. Many excellent modders come from places like Russia (OpenIV, anyone?), or Japan, China, etc. Not everyone speaks English properly, and the mods decided it's often easier to let them formulate questions in their own language, instead of trying on English with a google translator, and not make any sense at all. I see no real good reason for you not to respect that.

    And what you're doing here, frankly, is just childish.

  • @LeeC2202 Neither the moderators, or the owner of the site...

    Correction Lee: It's nor. To be more succinct, or is used when following either, nor follows neither.

    Can't you speak proper English! :3

    Sorry, was that a question? I can't tell because it has an exclamation mark on the end! :P

    I actually have been trying to do that and something weird happens

    So I've been wanting to replace the Bagger with a Ducati. I edit the the vehicle.meta of the Bagger so that Franklin sits properly on the Ducati. The problem is, there's this weird graphic that appears to stem from the bike. I honestly don't know how to describe it. At some angles, it looks like a line, but at others, it's a HUGE wall of random texture. I'm talking going up probably 50 feet in the air.

    The bike functions normally and Franklin looks fine sitting on it, but there's this odd texture that seems to protrude from it

    Any idea what this is and how to fix it? The Bagger is literally the only vehicle that does this. And it's not the mod, I'll try using other bike mods, and it's the same thing.

    I managed to change Franklin's regular car to a Charger Hellcat just fine using this method, but the Bagger is being a pain

  • @forter4 remove all mods off of the bagger. That's should solve the problem. Only wheels and paint amd plates lights engine and breaks Armour. Any visual effects like body or exhaust etc please remove.
