game downgraded!?

hey guys im not new to modding at all ive installed multiple mods car mods etc but after i tried to install 2015 BMW 530D Dutch Taxi 1.0 my game downgraded to 1.0.231 and is not going back to the newest version (1.0.944.2) ive tried using my backups from mods folder and deleting all the text files (just to be sure) from scripthook etc etc but its still downgrading/updating to the same version 1.0.231 this is a problem since scripthook is not working with these early versions of the game

WHAT?That's quite a bizarre thing to happen when installing a mod.
Are you sure it downgraded? Show us a screenshot of your game folder.

@smartguy Mate thats fine. I have no idea what the version that is, but next to it you can see 1.0.1011 that is the actual game version. Nothing to worry about, I also have the same exact version.

@AHK1221 yea but the most left says 1.0.231 thats supossed to be 1.0.944.2 and if i try to start the game it gives that error as well

The left most version is NOT the game version. The second one is, which is 1.0.1011.

You're game updated. It is not 1.0.944.2 anymore, it is 1.0.1011. So that means you can't play mods anymore.

@AHK1221 wel thats pretty weird then because my game isnt updating anymore since last summer because im banned online so i havent had any updates since then, only manual updates and i didnt do that lol. but anyways thanks because i thought most left was the game version because there it said it was 1.0.944.2 last time i played

@smartguy Banned copies still do get updated. I'm talking from experience. But anyway yeah the game updates without even asking you
Be warned. None of your mods except for the mods folder mods will not work.

@AHK1221 okay im in need of your help again this time ive updated every file i had to (scripthook, config file and enable mp cars file) i threw out the scripts mod and scripthook dot v but as you can geuss nothing else but crashing the game here

@smartguy Create a text file called commandline in your GTA 5 folder. In it, write:
-verifyThen launch the game. See what happens.

@AHK1221 'nothing happened but i tried repairing update.rpf with mods off and then my game worked now when i put in asiloader it crashed again im happy it works without mods now but now i want the mods back in aswell hehe

@smartguy You need to update your update.rpf in your mods folder. There is a good chance you haven't done it. To check and also to do it, open OpenIV. Go to mods/update/update.rpf and enable Edit Mode. If you haven't updated it, you will see something saying to update it. Do note, once you update it, all the mods you installed into update.rpf will be lost(like dlclist.xml, or any others, like VisualV). You will need to copy them back after you update the rpf.
