how to replace certain cars when modding?

i'm still new to modding and I want to replace Micheals car with a modded one.but I don't know how to replace his car with a modded car.When modding GTA 4 and SA you could pick what car you want to replace when installing a new car mod.for ex. i wanted to replace Michael's car with this mod

But when i installed it, it replaced the buffalo not the tailgater so is there anyway i can change it so the tailgater is replaced or is the game just built different from the previous ones where i can't pick what car i wanna replace

All you have to do is rename the file to the tailgater's.
