Good graphic mod combinations.

  • I'm really new to the graphic mods, I'm currently downloading VisualV. I have never touched Reshade or anything like that, any guides would be very helpful, and some good graphic mod combinations. I'm going for something realistic, really realistic.

  • @AHK1221 I have tried a few of these, and I highly recommend the link below. Enclosed is his bonus reshade - use it as well. Then when in-game, go to settings and turn down gamma just until the R disappears. Change post-processing to "normal". It is absolutely stunning.

Also use this with it -

I use VisualV's latest version with ReShade config from Soongae for DOF. To switch off DOF simply press END. Besides FXAA and SMAA that config does nothing, so you can experiment with other settings like vibrance, tone mapping etc yourself. It's an older ReShade 1.1.0 version but you can easily take settings from later sets. I never succeeded in porting the DOF from this to a later version unfortunately...

I've mixed it with a better HBAO setting from a different author than stated above.

Have you looked at QuantV at all? It's a fantastic set with lots of options.

Also, when you've edited a set and like it why not copy the update.rpf so a safe place and try a new set?
I change between three visual options that way.

I would probably add a vote for QuantV as well. It needs pairing with a good set of ENB settings for glass/chrome/emitter reflections but the vehicle reflections are excellent.

The AO settings are pretty horrid but then again, AO is a horrid concept so looks bad in most of them. Or should I say, AO is not horrid, just badly implemented in game engines.

It does a fairly good job across most weather types, I particularly like the overcast and cloudy... and the added Trainer to tweak visual settings is a definite bonus if you like that kind of thing.

I also second the idea of keeping full folder configs to switch between and try. I store the update.rpf, Reshade and ENB settings for each.
