[PED VOICES] [WIP] GTA4 Cop Voices to V
-
Anybody have any ideas? Any thoughts? This will be a long one for me, I have maybe 500+ edits to do for each character...
-
@TheLoneWolf293 I hope you have a lot of patience. And good luck!
-
@nathanjamesddg151 Haha... I'll try...
-
@TheLoneWolf293 GTA IV cops were kinda funny... I wonder if you can port their ped models and voices to V and have them spawn with the regular cops.
-
@nathanjamesddg151 you've got me thinking...
-
@TheLoneWolf293 That's good. It's always good to think. If we can have addon cars spawn in traffic, I don't know why we can't have addon peds do the same. Plus, it would probably be easier. Maybe with a script?
-
@nathanjamesddg151 I don't know, I think we could get someone to do that though, I am taking scripting lessons right now.
-
@TheLoneWolf293 well, we're assuming that you need a script. But maybe there is some meta entry that needs to be edited... I dunno though, I don't make script mods (or any mods at all). Maybe scripters like @Oskar or @CamxxCore might know.
-
I forgot, I don't know if it is RDE or EUP, but I believe that one of them uses addon peds. I think they spawn too, I will have to look.
-
I think addon cops without a script should be possible. Probably needs a dispatch.meta edit
-
-
@Oskar that's what I was thinking. Do we then put the cop peds into an addon DLC archive? Or do we need to use the addon ped tool?
-
And that is not including the ped audio? Do we need to make an audio package or whatever it's called? And how is that done?
-
The addon ped tool is only needed for the mod creation. And about the audio, I have no idea, never played around with the audio.
-
@Oskar I've only replaced the audio once...speaking of audio (this is totally unrelated) what if we made a custom audio has for the Nathan James? Would that fix the sound issue?
-
@nathanjamesddg151 I have no idea, maybe?
-
@TheLoneWolf293 Oh yeah... you'll also need someone who can rig peds.
-
@Oskar we should try it.
-
@TheLoneWolf293 I never modded GTA IV or GTA V, but I'll help in any way I can. The most I probably can do is find the audio files...
EDIT: Some of the audio files probably shouldn't be carried over, like the ones with "LCPD" in them. Also, how do we ensure the cops say the right thing? For example, if you're fleeing in a car, how do you make sure the cops don't say "subject is fleeing in a boat" or something like that?
-
@nathanjamesddg151 Yes, lol. I have already found both locations, and I have realized some lines say "LCPD" and stuff. Also, that will be the tricky part, about the right thing to say, because I have found very few ones that are similar to each other. I am trying though. Also, some of the audio is stupid in V. For instance, the game will say "Kiflom" when you ask for an ID. I wish that I could get a list what LSPDFR uses, because half of the audio in there doesn't make sense. I know there are more things that I don't know about, so either I better get to playing and writing down the audio cued by lspdfr, if I can't get a list. But yes, I have started working on this.
-
@TheLoneWolf293 Have you already exported the audio? I already have two of the cops' voices downloaded. And what about the feds? Those too?
-
@nathanjamesddg151 I haven't exported everything yet, although I have started on it. And yes, I will attempt at doing everything.
-
@TheLoneWolf293 Okay. I have several downloaded. Do you want them or do you want to do it yourself?
-
@nathanjamesddg151 hmm? What do you mean you have them already downloaded? If your referring to the gta 4 audio files, I have gta 4...
-
@TheLoneWolf293 that's what I meant. extracted is a better term. EDIT: I have all the male ones done, except for the barricade cops.
