[Vehicle] [Completed] Mikoyan MIG 35-D Aircraft. For Voltrock
-
@FoxtrotDelta my opinion on texture create by original creator to work with model (not symmetrical T_T )

EDIT i loose many time whit that
-
@Voltrock I have no idea, as textures is not my specs gislity, but one thing was good all the body was uvmapped on a single texture file image, otherwise i would have to combine textures and then uvmap the whole aircraft again.
-
@FoxtrotDelta That texture sheet looks like it's been done with a UV Packer.
Basically you UV map the model on nice convenient texture sheets, then the UV packer takes all the UV coords/textures and packs them into the smallest sheet possible. That often means that parts of the model end up in really bad places to make any changes to them. We used to do the same thing with 2D sprite sheets.
It's like the problems we have modding GTAV though. The developers don't see the problem because they work with convenient files. It's all done by automation, so they don't care how it ends up. But for a modder, it's a nightmare.
-
@FoxtrotDelta now i go to do multiple skins
-
@LeeC2202 it doesn't have alignment problems.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.
UV Packing doesn't cause alignment problems, it simply packs the UV Co-ords into a single sheet and keeps everything aligned as it was.
All I meant was that because of the way those pieces were scattered around that texture sheet, it looks like it has been made by automation and not by the author of the model. It makes it hard for anyone to repaint the skin as Voltrock is discovering now.
Sorry, I was trying to add information and it seems I have added confusion instead.
-
@LeeC2202 nah it's okay now I understand, the file is too big yes, it's a night mare working on such a huge single file yes. You are right.
-
@Voltrock now that you have sent me the files. i'll be Finalizing it very soon. and since you are making 1 or 2 more liveries and work is still going on. i will try to make one of these liveries not sure which one though.i'll try

-
@FoxtrotDelta there is a light outside cockpit (i don't know if u can fix it)

-
@Voltrock yea that's the interior might dummy I'll remove it we don't need it.
-
@FoxtrotDelta little mig35D in picture over carrier (i think chinese like mig35d)

-
@Voltrock chinese just want to keep Russia a happy friend
su-35 with Trust vector is what chinese would love to have , as they can study the thrust vectoring more clearly that way.
But yes mig 35 is a good replacement for obsolete aircraft. Plus it's engine has new improvements that could be of interest.
With those engines j15 and j16 can have more lifting power and take off from a carrier with heavy load which isn't possible at the moment
