  • Working on tuning parts

  • Just for test make unwrapped UV mapping for dashboard and steering wheel. Sometime i'm reconvert whole car and make new materials with new textures for all interior parts.

Сделал развернутый UV маппинг для панели и руля, когда-нибудь переконвертирую машину целиком с нормальными материалами и текстурами для всего интерьера.

  • Awesome car so far now I could ice cube

  • I think, that default grey interior on lowrider version looks too grimly, so i make custom beige-brown interior as tuning part (exactly as tuning part, not paintable). This is a good idea?

Решил, что стандартный серый интерьер с лоурайдерским тюнингом смотрится слишком уныло, и сделал бежево-коричневый интерьер тюнингом. Хорошая идея или нет?

  • Wooooow, that leather material looks gorgeous! Would you mind telling me which shader/spec map color you used to make it look so realistic?

  • @Yarm1995 that dashboard material is just great! i need to inspect that!

  • @Chezy @FoxtrotDelta My config for plastic/leather materials: vehicle mesh shader with fully black dirt mask (to avoid interior getting dirty), solid color texture as diffusive map, bump map from desired texture, darkgrey specmap made from original diffusive map (exactly texture, not solid color for spec map)

  • @Yarm1995 bump map from desired texture how do you achieve that?

  • @FoxtrotDelta @Yarm1995 i'd like to know as well. Also this Car was the most solid one I've downloaded imo it fit so well in the game

Ah, thanks! That's actually the way I do it with my textures aswell, but I never got the idea to use the mesh shader on an interior part :D

@FoxtrotDelta There is a plugin for Photoshop called NVIDIA Normal Map or something like that. If you don't have Photoshop, you can get the free image program "GIMP" and download a normal map plugin for that. That's what I do aswell, but I forgot where to find the plugin I use.

  • @Chezy i use nvidia texture tools. basically does same thing. i wanted to know what he meant by that. may be he uses a differetn method, cuz that looks awesome.

  • @FoxtrotDelta @Chezy @westcoastsosa I mean if you arleady have diffusive and bump textures, from another game for example (i'm commonly use textures from assetto corsa and world of speed). Also, with any normal map generating program is better to use height map techiques.

  • MODERATOR

For my custom plates in 2K I create myself I mainly use the Nvidia NormalMapFilter in Photoshop. When I do need a normal in heavier intensity I visit http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/. See belowe the differences in height from both, first normal is Nvidia filter at scale '12', second is the above website at strenght '1.2' and level '7'.

  • @Yarm1995
That vinyl texture is pretty sweet!
    95 SS owner here

  • @ReNNie Also you can try use height map for stronger normal map effect (black plate background, white letters and grey letters edges).

  • @Yarm1995 After watching loads of Roadkill, I'm now really into older American cars (i'm British!), so nice one for this and your Monte Carlo too :)

  • @krissboo I'm russian myself, so i dont see any american cars often, but i'm in love with them :)

  • @Yarm1995 Well keep at it cause you're doing good work with these cars. :)
