MAJOR HELP NEEDED FOR MOD UPDATE/CREATION

I am new to creating mods so there is a lot i dont know and there are some things i need to know in order to update my current mod and to release other projects i am working on if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

The handling files for all non-DLC cars is in common.rpf/data/handling.meta.

The car interiors are in the _hi.yft file, not the normal .yft file. If you mean textures, you can look in vehicles.meta to find out what relationships there are in texture sharing.

i know how to find the .meta, i want to what values i need to change and by how much to make it drive how it should

i use _hi as my base files it says what textures are missing im just unsure on how to find them
- ive started using the body in zmodeler. would what im after as in the flames be in vehicles.meta or carcarol.meta? i wouldnt know what to look for

@zacster95 Tell me what car you are using as base. I'll try to find the textures for it.

im after textures for the slamvan3 i know the textures needed are from the bobcat but searched all over OpenIV and no luck

@zacster95 Export all the textures from vehicles_bob_w_interior to a folder. Before importing the car, add all the textures including the ones from vehicles_bob_w_interior and slamvan3.ytd. If done correctly the vehicle should have all the textures.
EDIT: also dont forget vehshare.

are you serious? hahaha ive been adding the whole ytd and not opening and extracting it. what should i export it as or doesnt matter?

@zacster95 Shouldn't matter. Any file type should do.

I still dont have working dials do you know how to get them working? and would you know where to find the files towtruck_rope.dds towtruck_rope_n.dds and env.dds

@zacster95 Look at the series I looked above. It shows you how to do dials and get env.dds. Don't know about twotruck_rope or the normal map tho...

@AHK1221 tow rope is something i need to fix as you will see in my mod
https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/bennys-custom-tow-trucki need it to sit higher and not drag all the time but will look into what you said. working on the doors now you have been such a great help

ive set the rotations but doors still wont open
any other ideas?

@zacster95 Do you have seat_dside_f or seat_pside_f in your hierarchy?

@zacster95 Looks fine, what is the problem tho? When you try to enter it doesnt open?

doors dont open, i just pass right through them

@zacster95 Collision issue. Show me your collisions for the doors.

@AHK1221 im unsure on how to do that, i know that collision tab but im unsure of what you are asking, you can tell im new to this
