Those (*$%^&*() a-holes!

  • // GTA V SCRIPT HOOK (build Mar 17 2017, v1.0.1011.1)
    // (C) Alexander Blade 2015-2017
    [13:54:46] INIT: Started
    [13:54:46] FATAL: Unknown game version

Seems STEAM, out of the blue, has decided to come with a new update, completely unexpected! Wonderful, game broken now.

  • @meimeiriver it might be related to the new dlc car turning issue, found that on gta 5 steam actualities =>

"As outlined by Rockstar last month, GTA 5's online component, GTA Online, introduced the Infernus Classic to its faux Los Angeles bounds last week—the first time the sports car has been seen in this form since 2001's Grand Theft Auto 3 and its loosely-tied 2005 follow-up Liberty City Stories. Since its GTA Online debut, however, it appears this car has one critical flaw: it can't turn left without spinning out."

  • @Cerberuss That car was working just fine for me (though, granted, I only test-drove them a bit).

Is it known what changed? Then I'll restore those files from backup.

  • @meimeiriver can't really tell, with a bit of luck only the dlcpacks mpspecialraces .meta files, maybe a new patchdayng15 if the car had model related issues, will wait for the scripthook update before updating the game (if it's just an issue related to that car, hope so)

Why, gta5.exe has changed too. Doing a full restore now. Good thing I made a backup, just yesterday. :)

  • @meimeiriver I guess those firewall rules are going back into action... again. :(

  • @LeeC2202 Yeah. Restored, and put STEAM in offline mode again. Le Sigh.

According to this, there's nothing new in this update. :/

  • @V4D3R A new vehicle apparently, Grotti Turismo Classic... for online of course, as always.

Wasn't that already part of the original 4 that came with patchday15?

  • @meimeiriver Don't know, just quoting from that link.

A new vehicle has been added to GTA Online, available from Legendary Motorsport:
    Grotti Turismo Classic

  • @LeeC2202 Still bewildering then why gta5.exe had to be changed for that. I bet it was just to update the version number. :astonished:

  • On the plus side, pirated version is still at 1.36.

  • @V4D3R i can confirm

  • @TheSigui Didn't you buy it on steam a few weeks ago? :/

  • @TheSigui said in Those (*%2#37;^&*() a-holes!:

    @V4D3R i can confirm

Publically stating you're running a pirated version may not be the best idea you ever had. :)

  • @meimeiriver AFAIK he has a steam copy. You don't have to own a pirated copy to know that, just visit a pirated site to check the latest update. Use a site like ... well, I'm not posting links.

  • @V4D3R I did buy it, but i still remember about the previous game version i had

  • Well, i got fucked in the ass. Game automatically updated and got no back-up. NO WAY I'M GONNA PLAY VANILLA GTAV!

  • @Cerberuss You know what is funny ?i tested the car in single player and had no problem with it at all.
i guess the problem lies in mp content.

  • @BladeRJ Yep, that's what I recall: there was no issue with the car in Single Player mode.

  • @BladeRJ @meimeiriver yep

    [April 5, 2017] GTAV Title Update 1.39 Notes (PS4/Xbox One/PC)
    CREATED APRIL 5,

"Update to address handling issues affecting some GTA Online vehicles, including steering on the Pegassi Infernus Classic."

seems like it only got the update.rpf and gta.exe updated

  • Found a solution to fix the 4-5-2017 update problem and restore the mods and Script Hook V functionality:

Let steam update you game and when finished replace the GTA5.exe with the previous one prior to the update.

If you are using Windows 7 right click on the GTA5.exe and choose "Restore previous versions".

Since I deactivated the my "Restore previous versions" function, I had a friend send me the file after I asked him to get the file from his "Restore previous versions"

All my mods worked except for the Hulk mod, which I will try to fix now.

    Hope this helps

Can you pm me to send previous version?

  • Yet again Rockstar had managed to screw with me... 700mb download for a crappy car that I'll never use. What's REALLY pissing me off, is I NEVER play online too many retarded 12 year olds for my taste, yet I have to update or within a week the game will stop working.
