Mods to Turn Los Santos into Los Angeles?
-
Hi Everyone!
Scroll below the first two paragraphs to skip my intro
I'm new to PC gaming. Been a console user literally all my life, but have decided to build my own PC (will build it tomorrow, just waiting on my power supply to come in)
Long story short, I've always wanted a PC because I always envied the modding world and how you can customize your game to your liking. I experienced modding on FO4 on the Xbox, but it doesn't come anywhere close to what you can do on PC, so here I am
In any case, I tried searching for a thread like this but couldn't find it. Was wondering if anyone has tried to fully turn Los Santos into as much of an immersive Los Angeles as possible. What mods did you use?
I like modding because I like to try and make the game more immersive and almost life like (I saw a thread about real life visuals so we don't need to go into that here)

@forter4 There are bunch mods to Turn LS to LA. For example L.A. Roads or real LA architecture. You just have to look up on it and maybe people from LA can tell you what the best mods are to resemble LA. The site Admin @rappo is from LA, maybe he can tell you some mods.
But before doing all the nice stuff, you should browse the site on how to install those mods. It's not the same like Fallout where you just download and use it. You need to edit the gamefiles with an program called OpenIV. I suggest reading the tutorials für in Modding Discussion> Tutorials for all the basics and stuff. If you have problems, you can, of course, ask here for help.

@forter4 I can help you out with this - I can assemble quite a bit of links and instructions to maintain a stable game, and how to not get caught with your pants down, every time R* updates, which is quite reliably frequent, I am afraid to say.
I need to know your specs first, because I don't want to throw more at you than I know your PC would be capable of handling.
My specs:
ASUS Z97-AR Mobo
i7-4790k Processor
16 Gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance memory
nVidia GTX 1070
EVGA 850 W PSU
40" Samsung monitor

@forter4 yeah pal, @Kwebbl is right, it's not an easy process and I suggest you to make some research on installing those mods.
Mod edit: There's no need to bump a 2 year old thread.
