Custom Textures are still vanilla

Hi,
I replaced the Forum Families gang with new clothing and tatoos on their face, but when I go ingame they are still vanilla. I used IV to replace each texture but no luck. I also did the same on the g_m_y_mexgang01 and those did work. What is the differece?
I tried also adding an extra shirt on the g_m_y_mexgang01 but that one doesnt show up, only the 5 original ones.

2 reasons leap to mind:

The models/clothes you are (were instructed?) to replace, are now superceded in a newer DLC, like patchday13 or something. Use OpenIV first to Search for them.

You did do all of this in mods, right?! If not, you run a good chance of the game reverting your changes to vanilla again.

Also, you can't just add drawables. You need to edit the ped.ymt file for that, and add an entry there.

Try using shift + f3 to search

Well i need to check those patches, because the g_m_y_mexgang01 did work. All I did was export the files in dds then replace them back in,ytd format.
The only other reason might be because of the patches that they revert back to vanilla.

Also, you can't just add drawables. You need to edit the ped.ymt file for that, and add an entry there.
Is there a video on how to do that?

You can't add new texture variations like Meimeiriver said above it would require a ped.ymt editing however... decompiling it might break a few things because decompiler is not fully done

Done it myself many times.

looking through the patches, its all related to mp.
Im going to try that program to add new variety of clothing to certain peds.
