TRANSFORMERS ANIMATION

  • Is perfectly doable, not with game animations but yes with scripting.

    I'm using scripting to animate parts in the D-Walker
    (head, task-arm and cockpit cover are animated by scripting, also the weapons are already animated). Any Transformers animation, can be done with same method.



  • @Rarefacer Well, you can attach millions(thats an exaggeration) of objects to a base model, and rotate them around to make an animation.

    Too much effort than its worth.



  • @AHK1221 That is true, for that reasson are rare sponsored mods. Exists another way to move a lot of components in a vehicle model using a ped skeleton, but that needs more research. Is better to wait until the animation tool for GTA V appear.

  • @Cyron43 Probably animations like roof animations, we can use that as a base.

    Or ped animations, like he said we can use ped, (or animal) skeleton and animate that.



  • @Cyron43 Usually OpenIV and GIMS Evo offer animations tools for GTA series. Sure the development team "Black Rage Research Project" are working in one to add that feature to create animations for GTA V in player/ped and world props, like they did with GTA IV.

    @AHK1221 Yeah, join ped with vehicle features, can open a new world of possibilities. The vehicle animations are usefull and offer a lot of options, nice for cars or aircrafts to add realistic component behaviors, the only issue is the poor number of components we can animate with that method.
    In a post, somebody said the possibility to add new bones/dummies to vehicles and with scripting, can be get and manipulated their parameters. IDK wich native function can do "search and get new bones by name/ID" in any entity.

    Then you can use the index in all bone related functions.

    @szatanowygosciu scripters can do it , if they colaboate with 3d modelers. i have always thought and wanted this. but sadly i have no knowledge of scripting at the moment. i do intend to learn coding. it would be too late by that time. i really hope someone makes this mod!.

    If only GTA V was compatible with custom Animations like other games. we could put animations in there via Zmodeler 3. sadly only possibility is with Scripting.



  • @FoxtrotDelta I have been thinking about scripting for a long time because they are useful but i not have many time if someone will break this barrier in gta V will be awsome:)

  • @szatanowygosciu Is a challenge but is possible Transfomers animations mixing vehicle + ped features. I do tests sporadically and when I finish the actual projects in ToDO list, the next are mecha mods like Transformers, Evas from Evangelion, jaggers from Pacific Rim movie and others.
