DLC / ADD-ON NOT APPEARING
-
not sure why but all of my cars stopped loading after the last update. am i alone?
-
@CurtArchitect Did you copy the updated update.rpf file into your mods folder?
If so, did you add your dlclist.xml (containing your addons) and gameconfig.xml file into it?
-
yes, did all of that strangely none of the DLC's work. not even vanilla
-
@CurtArchitect Well the vanilla dlcs are not in the mods folder, so they shouldn't be affected at all. That sounds like you have modified the dlclist.xml in the main update\update.rpf file instead of the one in the mods folder.
-
i checked that, but its normal as well.
-
@CurtArchitect Then I would suggest running a verify on your game because it sounds like the normal game files have been affected somehow. Nothing that happens in a normal update will affect or prevent the normal game cars from appearing.
-
how do you do that? do you mean running it and playing i can play but all my dlc stuff is missing.
-
@CurtArchitect Depends on which version of the game you are using. One is done through the Steam client, the other is done through the Soclal Club launcher by modifying the game's shortcut.
-
i've ran through both. i'll tinker some more tomorrow. if there's any solution ideas throw them at me. copied all dlc list codes and put them in the new dlc list folder and everything looks good nothing comes up

#STEAM

@CurtArchitect said in DLC / ADD-ON NOT APPEARING:
i've ran through both.
You can't run both. both methods don't work on each version. The Steam version's shortcut directs the game to run through Steam, so the Retail verification doesn't run the same. That's why it's in the Steam client instead.

I don't understand the part that I have marked in bold.
