There might be better solutions there so definitely check it out.
But here's one I think might work for now:
- Right click on the GTA 5 shortcut (to the launcher)
- Select properties
- In the target box, add the command line -verify
- Apply changes
- Run the application as the administrator
- Allow social club to verify the game data
- Allow it to download. After that, it worked without a single crash

@ItzWalzy On the shortcut? Try creating a new shortcut of the launcher and see if it appear again.

@ItzWalzy Have you bought GTA on Steam or via Rockstar themselves? I've had some problems with folder rights in the past when using Steam. See if you can override it in the properties
