GTA V changes screen color, it happens to you?
-
Hello!
I don't know if someone else has the same issue as me, but since the latest NVIDIA Driver's Update (that came together with the Windows Creators Update in my case), when I load the game for some reason it changes the screen color to a bit more yellowish, something that I didn't noticed with any other game at the moment.
This happens just when the game displays the menu options screen before loading Online or Story Mode.
Also, it seems that I can't unlock the game FPS (locked at 30fps max) as I've been doing before the update.
All my drivers, games and system requeriments are updated correctly since yesterday, when I did a clean Windows reinstall.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

@Reyser sounds like enb settings issue
-
@FoxtrotDelta I've removed the ENB Series completely but still changing screen color, no idea why
-
@Reyser
so you use the drive came from windows creators update?
"since the latest NVIDIA Driver's Update (that came together with the Windows Creators Update in my case)"
or whats your driver version?
I use windows creators update, been 2 weeks I think. The problem I got in first week was BSoD, lately isnt anymore

ENB, oddly enough, will drop your FPS to ca. 30 fp, not just when you (obviously) lock the framerate, but also when you enable vsync within it. My guess is, that this occurs because it conflicts somehow with having vsync enabled in-game too.
At any rate, maybe new Windows driver/settings (why not use nVidia's driver directly, btw) may mess with the OP's vsync too.

@GPlay90 @meimeiriver I mean that the latest NVIDIA Driver came at the same time as the Windows Creators Update, so I've installed first a clean Windows 10 and then the NVIDIA Driver update.
And maybe yes, FPS problem can be caused by V-Sync + ENB, sadly.

I have the Creator's update too, but never let Windoze mess with my video. And don't have the problem you describe. I would just reinstall from nVidia itself, just to be on the safe side.

@meimeiriver It's installed from nVidia Geforce Experience, as always I do.

Ah
In that case, I dunno. Sorry.
-
@meimeiriver Don't worry, thanks anyway for the help

UPDATE: It seems that the color problem happens with all games, not only with GTA V...
-
@Reyser Has your monitor been assigned a color profile that doesn't match the monitor settings? That can sometimes cause things to appear with a yellow tint.
You can check by opening an image with a white background in the windows image viewer. If the background is yellow instead of white, that's usually an indication of a mismatched color profile.
-
@LeeC2202 Yes. I've assigned to it a neutral color between blue and yellow through NVIDIA Control Panel settings. But before the latest update that was working fine, I just don't understand why the configuration I've applied doesn't remain after a game launch.
-
@Reyser Ah, I meant through the windows color management, not the Nvidia control panel.
If you go into the Display Settings, then into the Advanced Settings you should get to a Color Management page. That determines what color profiles are assigned to your monitor.
I can't remember exactly how to get there in Windows 10 and I'd have to switch OS to check. It looks like this:
-
@LeeC2202 I found it, I'll investigate a bit how it works and get back.
-
@LeeC2202 I tried many things but nothing worked in my "tests".
-
Did you try this? @Reyser
https://www.tenforums.com/gaming/81323-creators-update-games-ignore-nvidia-ctrl-panel-color-profile.htmlOR you can try fully uninstall your driver. and Install latest driver
uninstall with this, ive tried this software before

-
This doesn't happen to me. I have the latest Nvidia drivers and Windows.
-
@GPlay90 Didn't tried it yet, I'll do later and get back, thanks.
@V4D3R Maybe your original monitor color is the same as the one you're using actually and you didn't noticed any difference.
-
@Reyser do you have f.lux? That sometimes makes the screen yellowish.
-
@AHK1221 No, I'm not using any other color program than the nVidia control panel settings.
-
@GPlay90 Tried it but still happens
-
@Reyser revert back roll back the driver and see if it till happens or not.
-
@FoxtrotDelta Can't do it with a clean Windows install, there's not the older driver to roll back.
-
@Reyser uninstall the new one and put old version back in , use nvidia website
It would be a good idea to completely delete everything associated with this new driver.
