@krissboo Well, I think that nearly 70% of the car mods on this site are unoptimized for the game, if one would replace cars only with high quality optimized models there would be no problems, mostly.
For example, many of the flashy super cars that people usually download aren't optimized at all (you won't see from the looks of the car or anything if it's optimized so not many people care) and are only good for addons since they would cause too much issues if they would spawn in traffc.
big car replacement packs are also full of unoptimized models.

@krissboo I doubt that replace cars in general cause crashes, it's the low quality car mods that cause crashes when many of them get spawned in traffic (which happens when you add them as a replacement)

lol, OpenIV still works, just disable internet access for it with the firewall and you guys should be fine, it's not like it will magically dissapear from all PCs (for now)

More people should know about LODs, maybe that could improve the horrible quality of many mods from here a bit...

I think they spawn on the replaced vehicle just fine without causing crashes, the tuning parts will obviously look out of place though because they were made for the default cars.

I'm currently working on some new lore friendly retro service vehicles loosely based on real ones

I think it would be awesome if we had a mod that adds the LS Riots from GTA SA, just better.
With:

• Burning houses,
• Random people fighting with melee weapons (rarely there are maybe some gang members who are armed)
• Random burning or overturned cars on the streets, fire trucks coming to extinguish the burning cars
• People looting stores (they enter it running and leave the store with some stuff in their hands)
• Some store owners protecting their stores from being looted with sniper rifles or simply handguns or other weapons
• Motorists (including the player) getting pulled out of their cars and beaten
• Emergency services responding in the city, police attack unarmed looters or people fighting with nightsticks instead of guns, they will also try to arrest them

You already visited lcpdfr.com right? If you are looking for police vehicles than gta5-mods.com isn't really the right place, most police modders don't release over here
