GTA V's current version is 1.0.2245.0. Yours is outdated. Don't look at the file that says version. Right click on GTA.exe and then click details. It'll tell you what version you're running on.

If you didn't use a mods folder as it looks like you didn't, you're going to have to reinstall your game or verify your game files through steam or R* launcher.

You can have them in your GTA V directory as long as you remove the dinput8.dll file from the directory. That prevents any mods from loading when you want to play online and don't want to remove your mods. You will NOT be banned using this method. However, if you keep your mod files there and dinput8.dll and go online, you could be banned as Rockstar detects modded files, even if you don't activate them.

Also, make sure you installed mods into your mods folder. If you did, just remove your mods folder. We need more information.

@Renderation Yes that is correct. Don't play online with mods and you'll be fine.

My guess is that it's your 230 replaced cars. Replacing cars makes your game very unstable and can lead to a crash with this error. Start putting these cars as addons instead. It's much safer, and easier. Also, I've noticed that you have posted another topic on this matter. Don't double post. Make 1 topic and wait for help.

You don't need it as it's not mandatory anymore but you can choose to install it if you want to.
