I've been trying to get various map mods such as Abrian's winter maps installed on the newest game version, but it seems every time I try to install Mapbuilder, MapbuilderCommunity, or AddonProps the game crashes on start-up. The only map mods I can get working properly are pure Menyoo ones.

Am I doing something wrong or is anyone else having this issue?

Ok, so I've about had it at this point.

I have tried to install several map add-ons, such as this cabin and this apartment. I've loaded them through Menyoo and Map Editor, I have the Object Unlocker and Community Map Builder, yet no matter what I do, the maps spawn in missing many if not most of the props. When spawning through menyoo, the object lists shows all of the missing props as "INVALID". There are maps that work, such as this podcast/radio station and this house, but others just will not. What am I missing to make these work?

Ok, so this will sound kind of pathetic, but.

How the heck do you put a door into a Spooner build?

I'm trying to put a door in the opening shown below. It will either:

• Stay in place, but not work as a door

• The instant I click Dynamic, fall through the map

• Stay in place until I try to walk through it, at which point it will fall through the map

• Or when gravity is off, it won't fall through the map...but pushing it open will push the whole thing off the hinges and it'll float away.

Any help and/or guides would be appreciated.

In the past three weeks I've noticed a dangerous trend while browsing GTA5M on a mobile browser (Chrome for Android specifically.)

It started out as simple fully new-tab pop-up that while highly aggravating and annoying were benign in their capabilities. But over the course of three weeks I've had full page redirects occur, sending me to fake AV pages (ones stylized like Google's 404 page seem to be common but not the only ones), Android system pop-ups declaring massive infection, and on one occasion a page cranked my system's volume to maximum and began ranting "Warning, warning, malware detected," etc.

Just before typing this, a tab I had open had sent me to a fake AV page, and then while typing this very post, another gta5m tab redirected (and brought itself front and center in chrome) to a blank page with a system message declaring I needed to update flash, before attempting to open the Play Store App.

This is unacceptable. I understand the need for advertisement revenue, I really do, but the site's apparent disregard for what ads it hosts opens up its users to attack from what are quite obviously malicious entities. The fact that the ads have in quick fashion escalated from browser pop ups to full redirects, hijacking, and attempted Play Store access means that they are one step away from drive-by downloads - at which point GTA5M will be complicit in infecting its users with malware. And if this starts occurring on desktop pages or ads begin intercepting the mod download links? I can't even begin to lay out the issues that will cause.

This needs to be fixed immediately. I have a screenshot of the flash redirect page but I'm not sure how to upload it from mobile, if some one could advise I'd appreciate it.

I'm surprised I haven't seen this elsewhere, other than one other snippy post from someone lacking conversational skills.

Is there a way to manually trigger various random events? Personally I'm trying to get Taliana's getaway driver (I know you have to drive in from the east, I've tried that), and I'm sure other people would want to unlock Packie or Ursula, or maybe trigger property missions to get them over with.

Seeing as how you can force-trigger player made random events (I.e. the Ammunation Delivery Van events), in my mind it shouldn't be too hard to trigger the stock ones.

Thanks. I found where it decides what vehicles to spawn. If I simply add another line like so

<Vehicle>newvehiclehere</Vehicle>
</VehicleModels>
"

That should allow two kinds of vehicles to spawn, correct?

Also, the IV Mod pack (found the link by the way) already has spawning abilities - I've seen both the added IV vehicles (i.e. old Sabers and Steeds) as well as online vehicles (like the Bestia and Nero) spawn in traffic. I take it there's a similar method to use that spawning instead of redownloading the VW mod?

So I used...I can't remember who made it right now, but the IV Cars pack which added several various police vehicles. Is there a way to add these models to the spawn list for star response? I.e. have the different cruisers appear at 1 and 2 stars, bring in the Presidante and FIB cars at 3, LSPD stockade and NOOSE cruisers at 4, NOOSE Stockade and Annihilator at 5? Preferably without replacing existing models.

So I'm looking to try my hand at modding, and I have two sets of questions.

First, I have openIV, scripthook, and I think the simple trainer or PC Trainer (whichever has the blocky menus). However, the latter two are tossed into the standard GTA folder.

Is there a way to install them with OpenIV so that I can utilize the one-click on/off function of OIV? Or do I have five airplanes and no runway to land on? If I am trying an impossible thing, do I just literally ctrl+c/ctrl+v the entire gta-5 folder and rename it mods to pull off the 'two-copies' trick for online-clean/offline-mod use?

Second question:

How exactly do I access vehicular skins? For the first thing I wanted to learn with I was going to do something simple, a circular emblem laid on top of the existing skin (kind of like this.) But the last time I tried looking in OIV, I was only getting nets of brand emblems and light placement for vehicles.
