@TheAdmiester @rappo this include me. Every unlocked model are 100% free, you can edit them do what ever you want without asking (this also include for dlc pack for exemple). Just dont forget the original credits. Even for those that are locked, you can, but for edit just ask me and i'll be glad to give you the model.

@shades Zmodeler is the only exporter for GTA 5 atm. But you can use every program to make the 3d, then zmodeler to do the gta5 parts and export of course

Now i think of, on a hand that kind right, but on the other it's kind of useless. Useless if there is already a newer mod uploaded by someone else who's got everything alright. I'm planning to update my previous mod (those that arent uploaded by someone else that is better than mine, so the very old tho) to use their own dlc.

Hello there.
This thread is not for help but for information about this error. Googled 30 minutes for it without any solution and had to try everything in zmodeler... Finaly found a fix.
The _hi yft was 10mb, and the non hi 14mb. When spawning via trainer, the game crashed and throw a err_str_failure_3 error.
I had 4 LODS of rims (just a copy of the lod0, about 50K poly). I removed the others lods of it. The files was reduced both to 10mb and it spawned without crash.So, if you get this error, try to remove lods and try again.

This won't really help you, even trough i don't really think something different and i'm not hiding it. But, why not start your own mods ? So many tutorials from well know modders. Even if you don't have that much free time, it wont hurt you to make a first try, we're on a forum, people could an can help you, right ?

Rockstar Games\ GTA V to
Normal GTA directory "GTA mods"
Normal GTA directory "GTA lspdfr "Which will require a lot of disk space, or simply changing drive for one or more folder work.
On desktop i have done it like that and 100% work:
Normal GTA directory + K:\GAMES\GTA MODS
and laptop:
Normal GTA directory + Normal GTA directory (folder name edited)

Hello there. My first post on the Forum!
This thread is for people who want to add in their mods, tuning part for addon.
You know, to add some tuning pars, you need to edit the carcol and set a special ID for your newly created modkit. Finding one that's not used take sometime times... So i decided to start a thread were modders can post their ID to avoid conflicts with others modders addon.Just post a message like this one.

@ppe That very bad man... My parents had a e34 525i with yellow lights. she was very nice. we loved it like it was a member of our family. we were 3 childs, the real dad's family car. there was not 2 same e34... the sound she had man... But time fly, and things dont last forever. Engine broke and we couldnt afford a new one (a used one was not that cheap) so with that money we bought another car, which we regret because the guy that sold it didnt mentioned the tank was broken and we finished with a car that have costed more than the engine price. So if i wasnt good enought to make mods, i would really loved that someone could do it... Maybe you didnt had such a nice childhood. Anyway, you should give some respect before saying something that bad.

@MrJanus When I'm happy of how my mod is, i upload it. I test it on 2 PC before upload on a brand dlc each time (the older dlc pack was used as stock + the new one to be uploaded and a full dlc of the others mods that used it). I don't get any crash at all and try to help when i can. You can complain about how the install work (not like there is a video on how to install it on the original page). And yes like you said, i decide how it will install. When a program come in a rar, will you complain about it if there is no installer ? You want to be taken hand in hand to install a mod ? For the textures size there is a reason. When i need to use tiled textures, some time the UV are too big and this cause in game problems. Do you want an object yellow with some others strange thing ? Because that what it does when i do it.
Also talking about fame, you really believe i do it for the "fame" ? If you think modder become famous for mods... lol. If i wanted to be famous, i would only make super cars, because they are downloaded the most here.
@GTA-Modding-Noob I come here because it's a FORUM. Where any one can get in and talk about things. here we talk about mods. My posts are not out of topic.
Also like i said in some mods pages, the mods i release are free to use any one can edit and upload it if they don't forget the credits.

Yes in case of compatibility issues or concurrent access. However, I was talking about mods which crash the game (by themselves) or don't deliver the advertised functionality. Why the eff do I have to repeat myself over and over? As I said to xxx78 already, read a comment before you reply!

There are millions ways to make the game crash, a mod would work on a machine with a lot of others mods without problems and on the other hand crash on a fresh install. You're a dev, you should know anything can happen on an other machine

Some modders do mods for free and ask nothing in return. they share their mods here, after weeks or months of work. Happy with it ? cool. Not happy ? leave and stop complaining because the mod dont meet absolutely all your standars.
Like meta said, you have no knwoledge of how mods tools work and how a simple mod can end in many many hours of troubleshot for a single thing that only one person cry about (let say an interior thats missing some poly near the door)
Just like i said, you can complain, but there is a time when it start to drive crazy people.
I mean, how can one keep complaining about something they actualy never bothered doing a

@Josh1dfs You should rebuild all your .rpf, it can help a lot. I also had some crash, at randomly place, and time played. This solved every issues

@ChOcOsKiZo Right in the texture browser in zm, you can create a group, just name it like car_liv1.yft (the same name of the lsc part), and put your texture in and use the texture from this group for the part and export.

@ChOcOsKiZo Got the livery to correctly show at benny's. Was a problem uv the UV#2 that somehow disappear every time i re load the z3d, having to recopy it every single time i open it...
I also embeded the livery in the yft, and made a +hi.yft, but it's working now (it was also working even after i copyed the uv2) so it's one of those thing (i'm sure it's the embeded texture)
