use Open IV / Mods Folder, navigate to the ytd file for the item, click on it to open viewer and find the secular for the item, click export and select file type as .png and save where you can find it. I use Gimp but you can use any photo manip program to adjust brightness & contrast, Put the new image into a new folder and use the same name. now just go back to open iv and select the item secular in viewer again and select "replace" and save, run the game. It may take some playing with.
