Ok so first off, back then 2 years ago I made a tutorial like this but I still see people asking about it here and there. So imma just put this here in the right section for more people to recognize and see the way of making Add-On cars into replacement.

But back then I may have make it too confusing so I am going too made a video (no voice). Just going through the steps through a video.

Back in 2016 we didn't have a car that look close to the i8 so this is gonna be updated with not using the Dominator but SC1

The extra thing at the end that I was about to put, it is about replacing the image of VEHICLE PREVIEWS in menyoo custom

@TheMurderousCricket yes I played with vanilla cars, but after playing some of the Forza games, it kinda made me want to attempt this experiment to see how far can I push GTA V and to make it a bit more lifelike

@Reacon hmmm very interesting indeed, I have managed the sedans categories, it is crashing but not right away... getting closer!!

Does anyone know if GTA V can be modded to the point where nearly every single vehicle is modded. Currently I am attempting to do that by vehicle classes. Right now I have successfully modded and change the Super and SUV vehicles class without any game memory error or GTA V exit unexpectedly. Post your opinion here and speak out if you have try this also, I am very curious!!!!

Download:

• Step 1: Download cars you want i.e https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/2015-bmw-i8

Extracting:

• Step 2: Put the dlc.rpf into OpenIV

• Step 3: Extract all requires file like tuning, vehicle and the data of the vehicle

• Step 4: Download this (https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/carcols-ymt-converted-into-xml-format), rename carcols.xml to carcols.ymt and replace it in update/update.rpf/x64/data/carcols.ymt

• Step 5: Your extracted file should look like this (http://imgur.com/a/BKRuJ), with vehicle in the vehicle folder, tuning with tuning and data with data

Vehicle File:

• Step 6: Rename whatever the vehicle file name to the one you want. For example I will do dominator so the name of the file should change from:

• i8.yft ---> dominator.yft
  i8_hi.yft ---> dominator_hi.yft
  i8.ytd ---> dominator.ytd

• Step 7: Replace the vehicle file

Tuning:

• Step 8: Find the mods.rpf file for the vehicle you want by pressing Ctrl+F3 and search
  [car name]_mods.rpf

• Step 9: Double click on it and remove all mods for that car and replace it with the included Add-On car tuning

Replacing The Data:

• Step 10: (This is for the game to detect different files being but into the mods.rpf) Extract the carcols.ymt, edit with notepad++ (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v7.4.2.html) and find the dominator in the file and replace everything with the included carcols by copying everything from <visibleMods> to </Liverynames>

• Step 11: Replace the vehicles.meta file with the included vehicles.meta files fromm the Add-On

• Step 12: Replace the handling.meta with the included handling.meta from the Add-On

Note

• If want to replace a file in a dlc, simply edit carcols.meta file

• If game crash, check for coding error that you have made in the handling and meta because copy and pasting can make duplicate code and caused game to crash
