RE: Reinstalled game - mods that worked now don't
An update on this. I'm currently trying to add the car mods 1 by 1. 1 works fine, however upon putting the 2nd one, the game loads fine, but when I try to spawn the car, I get this message ''failed zlib call. please reboot, verify the game data or reinstall the game. I've already tried to reboot and verify the game data twice, everything is verified.
Reinstalled game - mods that worked now don't
Hey everyone. I need help please. I've been trying for hours and I can't get my game to work.
As the title says, I woke up yesterday to find that my steam doesn't recognize GTA V as installed even though it was installed so I had to delete everything and reinstall the game. After installing, one of my scripts that used to work 2 days ago (Time Scaler) doesn't work now. Also, most of my car mods (I only have 20 car mods) don't work.
One replace car mod I have works and 2 of my other scripts work though. I have both heap adjuster and even the packfile limit adjuster that I didn't have previously installed in my game directory. I have the latest scripthook etc, everything is as it was 2 days ago. My trainers also work perfectly (Menyoo, Simple Trainer, Native Trainer).
The main problem are my car mods. When I have my usual dlclist in OPENIV with all 20 cars, I get a crash on startup saying corrupt game data. please reboot or reinstall the game. I really have no idea why they don't work if they worked perfectly 2 days ago before I had to reinstall the game.
Someone please help me. I've tried everything. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the OPEN IV plugins, running my game as admin, nothing works.
Menyoo important question
For the past few days, I've been trying to create a car chase between me and an NPC on an add-on map that I want to edit in Rockstar Editor later and I'm getting pretty desperate since I can't get it to work.
Menyoo has the option to follow route points when it comes to walking and running, but there is no such option for driving… or I can't find it. The only viable option I found is the ''drive to destination'' or something like that which basically only lets me add one route point, being the destination. And with that, when I activate the task sequence, the NPC loses his mind and just crashes into the wall or turns the car around in the opposite direction and stops. I tried the ''follow entity if in a vehicle'' as well and the NPC just stops the vehicle or runs into a wall after 2 seconds of following me.
I don't get it. I see so many videos on YouTube of people driving cars at high speed, doing crazy stuff, 2, 3, 5 cars at once, what's the catch? Are they playing Online and all those vehicles are driven by people and not NPCs or what? I don't play Online so I don't know. What I do know is that whatever I ask an NPC to do in a vehicle, they can't do it right, not even the basic driving, let alone complex stuff…
I tried Scene Director too. I thought it was my salvation, but no dice on that either. I tried the infamous ''Direct'' driving style and it's as bad as Menyoo. I recorded myself driving normally, not even speeding a lot, but when I test the recording, the NPC can't take a corner at 50 kilometers an hour or more. If it's over that speed, the NPC starts breaking weirdly, overshoots the corner, gets slammed into a wall or anything else EXCEPT following the route I recorded. I tried going slower and for some reason, it doesn't even use breaks, it just hits the gas and keeps it floored.
It's getting ridiculous at this point. Can someone please give me some pointers? What am i doing wrong?
RE: Please help me with a serious issue
Thanks for your help, man. Fortunately, it has been solved just minutes ago. The problem was the No Rockstar Editor Restrictions mod which was outdated after the latest update. The author updated it a few minutes ago and Rockstar Editor works perfectly now.
RE: Please help me with a serious issue
I checked the launcher log file and here is what it says if it helps. I'm pretty much desperate because I've been working on a big project and already have over 100 exported clips. I only need to record, edit and export maybe 10 clips and I can't because the editor crashes when I try to click edit camera. Please if anyone knows how to fix it, let me know.

Please help me with a serious issue
Before the big update, I've been working on some clips in Rockstar Editor. Now that the new Script Hook and everything is updated, I decided to resume making clips. I recorded 2 of them and went into the Rockstar Editor. What happens is, when I click ''Edit Camera'', the game freezes and after 2 seconds, the game quits to desktop. I tried both clips. Then I recorded another clip and same thing happens. This has never happened to me. I can play the clips, but I can't edit the camera angles. How to fix this?
Mods folder question (Need quick help)!
Hi guys. My question is simple and I'd really appreciate an answer as soon as possible. It would help me a lot.
I've been using a bunch of add-on cars for a while now. Just today, I came across this video -
I was really surprised by one thing - At 3:07 in the video, the guy says the standard thing we all learned when we first started modding - to copy the whole ''update'' folder into the ''mods'' folder in order to begin modding your game. All clear there. However, when he copies it and opens up the ''dlcpacks'' folder at 3:46, he only has a few folders in there, most of them being modded ones. He doesn't have all the ''dlcpacks'' folders that are in the original unmodded ''dlcpacks'' folder. Why is that? At first I thought he has the older version of the game, but at 5:27 he opens up the dlclist.xml file and it shows that he indeed has an up to date dlcpacks folder.
When I first started modding, my understanding was that I needed to copy the whole ''dlcpacks'' folder into the mods folder and that I needed to have the whole content of the ''dlcpacks'' folder inside my mods folder. Am I missing something here? If I'm only using add-on mods and no replace mods, does that mean I can delete all the standard original folders inside my ''dlcpacks'' folder in my mods folder, such as ''Patchday17ng'' etc.? Will all my add-on mods work properly that way too? Nothing will get broken? Because I have a bunch of add-ons so I don't want to screw anything up.
I'm asking primarily because of space issue. Why would I have 30+ GB of original folders sitting in my mods folder if they don't need to be there? Someone please clarify.
RE: Mod that allows this (it's ridiculous)
@ArmaniAdnr Exactly. I tried everything you've mentioned also. Plus, I've tried the Menyoo free cam, I've even tried some independent small mods from this site which are supposed to have something to do with the cutscenes, but nothing works at all.
