RE: Reinstalled game - mods that worked now don't
An update on this. I'm currently trying to add the car mods 1 by 1. 1 works fine, however upon putting the 2nd one, the game loads fine, but when I try to spawn the car, I get this message ''failed zlib call. please reboot, verify the game data or reinstall the game. I've already tried to reboot and verify the game data twice, everything is verified.
Reinstalled game - mods that worked now don't
Hey everyone. I need help please. I've been trying for hours and I can't get my game to work.
As the title says, I woke up yesterday to find that my steam doesn't recognize GTA V as installed even though it was installed so I had to delete everything and reinstall the game. After installing, one of my scripts that used to work 2 days ago (Time Scaler) doesn't work now. Also, most of my car mods (I only have 20 car mods) don't work.
One replace car mod I have works and 2 of my other scripts work though. I have both heap adjuster and even the packfile limit adjuster that I didn't have previously installed in my game directory. I have the latest scripthook etc, everything is as it was 2 days ago. My trainers also work perfectly (Menyoo, Simple Trainer, Native Trainer).
The main problem are my car mods. When I have my usual dlclist in OPENIV with all 20 cars, I get a crash on startup saying corrupt game data. please reboot or reinstall the game. I really have no idea why they don't work if they worked perfectly 2 days ago before I had to reinstall the game.
Someone please help me. I've tried everything. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the OPEN IV plugins, running my game as admin, nothing works.
Menyoo important question
For the past few days, I've been trying to create a car chase between me and an NPC on an add-on map that I want to edit in Rockstar Editor later and I'm getting pretty desperate since I can't get it to work.
Menyoo has the option to follow route points when it comes to walking and running, but there is no such option for driving… or I can't find it. The only viable option I found is the ''drive to destination'' or something like that which basically only lets me add one route point, being the destination. And with that, when I activate the task sequence, the NPC loses his mind and just crashes into the wall or turns the car around in the opposite direction and stops. I tried the ''follow entity if in a vehicle'' as well and the NPC just stops the vehicle or runs into a wall after 2 seconds of following me.
I don't get it. I see so many videos on YouTube of people driving cars at high speed, doing crazy stuff, 2, 3, 5 cars at once, what's the catch? Are they playing Online and all those vehicles are driven by people and not NPCs or what? I don't play Online so I don't know. What I do know is that whatever I ask an NPC to do in a vehicle, they can't do it right, not even the basic driving, let alone complex stuff…
I tried Scene Director too. I thought it was my salvation, but no dice on that either. I tried the infamous ''Direct'' driving style and it's as bad as Menyoo. I recorded myself driving normally, not even speeding a lot, but when I test the recording, the NPC can't take a corner at 50 kilometers an hour or more. If it's over that speed, the NPC starts breaking weirdly, overshoots the corner, gets slammed into a wall or anything else EXCEPT following the route I recorded. I tried going slower and for some reason, it doesn't even use breaks, it just hits the gas and keeps it floored.
It's getting ridiculous at this point. Can someone please give me some pointers? What am i doing wrong?
RE: Please help me with a serious issue
Thanks for your help, man. Fortunately, it has been solved just minutes ago. The problem was the No Rockstar Editor Restrictions mod which was outdated after the latest update. The author updated it a few minutes ago and Rockstar Editor works perfectly now.
RE: Please help me with a serious issue
I checked the launcher log file and here is what it says if it helps. I'm pretty much desperate because I've been working on a big project and already have over 100 exported clips. I only need to record, edit and export maybe 10 clips and I can't because the editor crashes when I try to click edit camera. Please if anyone knows how to fix it, let me know.

Please help me with a serious issue
Before the big update, I've been working on some clips in Rockstar Editor. Now that the new Script Hook and everything is updated, I decided to resume making clips. I recorded 2 of them and went into the Rockstar Editor. What happens is, when I click ''Edit Camera'', the game freezes and after 2 seconds, the game quits to desktop. I tried both clips. Then I recorded another clip and same thing happens. This has never happened to me. I can play the clips, but I can't edit the camera angles. How to fix this?
Mods folder question (Need quick help)!
Hi guys. My question is simple and I'd really appreciate an answer as soon as possible. It would help me a lot.
I've been using a bunch of add-on cars for a while now. Just today, I came across this video -
I was really surprised by one thing - At 3:07 in the video, the guy says the standard thing we all learned when we first started modding - to copy the whole ''update'' folder into the ''mods'' folder in order to begin modding your game. All clear there. However, when he copies it and opens up the ''dlcpacks'' folder at 3:46, he only has a few folders in there, most of them being modded ones. He doesn't have all the ''dlcpacks'' folders that are in the original unmodded ''dlcpacks'' folder. Why is that? At first I thought he has the older version of the game, but at 5:27 he opens up the dlclist.xml file and it shows that he indeed has an up to date dlcpacks folder.
When I first started modding, my understanding was that I needed to copy the whole ''dlcpacks'' folder into the mods folder and that I needed to have the whole content of the ''dlcpacks'' folder inside my mods folder. Am I missing something here? If I'm only using add-on mods and no replace mods, does that mean I can delete all the standard original folders inside my ''dlcpacks'' folder in my mods folder, such as ''Patchday17ng'' etc.? Will all my add-on mods work properly that way too? Nothing will get broken? Because I have a bunch of add-ons so I don't want to screw anything up.
I'm asking primarily because of space issue. Why would I have 30+ GB of original folders sitting in my mods folder if they don't need to be there? Someone please clarify.
RE: Mod that allows this (it's ridiculous)
@ArmaniAdnr Exactly. I tried everything you've mentioned also. Plus, I've tried the Menyoo free cam, I've even tried some independent small mods from this site which are supposed to have something to do with the cutscenes, but nothing works at all.
Mod that allows this (it's ridiculous)
So, this dude has some secret kind of a mod which enables him to record and EDIT GTA V CUTSCENES IN ROCKSTAR EDITOR! Here's the link to the video -
Can someone tell me, which mod is he using that enables him to record and edit the cutscenes? He's keeping it a secret like an a-hole and doesn't want to tell anyone how he does it. He did the exact thing with the Prologue mission 4 months ago and he's still the only person to do it. How is that possible? I'd like someone to explain to me how he does it and which mod he's using?
RE: I really need help regarding a car mod conflict
Thank you very much, man. I'll try those.
I really need help regarding a car mod conflict
I have 23 add-on cars installed. They all work perfectly. However, yesterday, I installed another car mod and when I got into the game, the car seems to spawn fine, but it has no tuning parts even though there should be plenty. I can't tune it with a trainer or in LS Customs. I figured that car's tuning is conflicting with one of my other car mods.
Thing is, I've never had this issue before and I don't know how to solve it. Is there any way of solving this? I really don't want to delete my currently installed car mods one by one and start the game over and over until I find which one is conflicting with the latest one. Even if I do that and find the car that is conflicting, I don't want to delete either one, I would really like to have them both in the game and both of them working properly. I think I read something about changing some values in OPENIV, but I don't remember exactly. If there's a way to have the cars stop conflicting with each other, can someone please walk me through the process of doing it? I've never done it and I don't want to screw it up. Thanks.
Menyoo Object spooner HELP
How do I make the ped follow me in the car? I spawned a ped with Object spooner - set his ''relationship'' to Spooner friends, entity is in the database, I set him as dynamic, unticked the ''is still'' function so he moves, set his task sequence to ''Follow entity'', ticked the task to run after allocated time and set status to run and the asshole still doesn't want to get in my vehicle? Why the fuck? He follows me when I'm not foot, but when I get in the car, the asshole just stands outside the car and looks at me. What the fuck am I doing wrong? Please, someone respond, it's urgent.
Simple Trainer command help [URGENT]
I'm using Scene Director and trying to make a scene, but I'm also using Simple Trainer for Airbreak and whatnot.
Problem I'm having is that these two things are screwing each other. When I'm recording an actor scene, it tells me to press LAlt+R to stop recording, but when I press LAlt+R, Simple Trainer spawns a random vehicle right in front of my actor every time, teleports the actor who I'm recording a scene with into that vehicle and crashes my game. What the fuck? How do I stop it? It's been fucking up for at least half an hour now. Where and how do I make Simple Trainer not spawn a vehicle when I press LAlt+R or LAlt+any other key? I'm losing my goddamn mind, someone please respond.
I need help with a Map Editor function
Hello. I just recently started using Map Editor and there is one thing I can't get to work. I need someone to help me cause I've been losing my mind.
I'm trying to set up an add-on car meet at a parking lot. However, I can't get the Map Editor to spawn the cars for me. Thing is, add-on vehicles aren't in the Map Editor vehicleslist.ini, so I found that I have to use the Hash Generator in OpenIV to find out the hash number for the add-on vehicle based on its spawn name. I can't get that shit to work and I want to know what I'm doing wrong.
I have like 10 add-on cars. So what I did was go to OpenIV, open hash generator and just type the spawn name of my first add-on car - fc3s and clicked generate. It generated me the (dec) number and I copied it and pasted it into the vehicleslist.ini of the map editor. That worked. The car was showing in the Map Editor and I could spawn it fine. Then comes the problem. I do the exact same thing with the second car - 180sx. It generates the number, I put it into the ini file and when I went back into the game, Map Editor doesn't want to open.
I tried removing the first add-on car, I tried removing one other regular car from the list, I tried removing half the list of vehicles, nothing works. It seems like Map Editor reads only the fc3s. Why? I saw many people upload car meet maps. I can't put more than one add-on car into the vehicles ini file? When the hash generator generates me the (dec) number, do I have to click ''save to file'' option? I didn't do that. Do I have to copy the generated number to the objects ini instead of vehicles? I'm out of ideas. I really want to know what I'm doing wrong and why my Map Editor won't read more than one add-on vehicle?
A question about Map Editor for GTA 5
Hi guys. I just started using map editor and I was wondering, is there a way to tune the cars after spawning? Whenever I choose a car to spawn, it just spawns it stock with random color. I would like to create a map and I really need the cars to be a specific color and tuned up. How can I do that in map editor?
