No your correct, it gives you a error when you try to save any file , i only how this cuz i accidentally tried to save a handling line of a car i was working on while gta 5 was running

I also made my own taxi Car (well i just replaced a random car with the taxi model) this way, i wont get annoying calls from the real taxi company when im in a taxi

im guessing you mean by modding your talking about car mods?
you gotta keep in mind that modded cars have a huge difference in polygons and the more polygons a vehicle has, the lower your fps will be when useing that vehicle

the Image below, shows the stock gta Police car which has 18k polygons vs a modded one i installed which has 120k polygons, ive even seen cars on the vehicle page of this site that have over 900k polygons (some jetta) so the rule i go by is find cars that are under 200k polygons or so, if thye are higher then that i just dont use them

the other thing is some modded cars come with 4k textures, that will also kill fps as it has to load thoes bigger textures for the car, but thoes are easyer to fix as all you need to do is reduce the image by 50% or more depending on your prefence

what car are you trying to replace, gotta keep in mind that the meta file for most cars are in the \update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5\vehicle.meta

so if you dont replace the numbers in that file, your changes will not do anything as the game loads dlc's then it loads anything in the update.rpf after, i would just be sure to check in there to see if the vehicle your trying to edit (not all vehicles will be in that file) is in there, chances are it is

I think what is happening here is that the towtruck (maybe a few other vehicles too) has/have some sort of hidden flag added to it/them to stop the peds getting out of the way of it when their siren is on. If you set up a siren on just about any other vehicle, you will get the same thing, traffic will move out of the way as you get closer to it, but if you use your ford flatbed to replace the towtruck it will work just how you want & peds will ignore you etc.

Rockstar use hidden & uneditable advanced flags to make edits to certain vehicles (the 'fbi' is the only vehicle I've found that can carry 4x dispatch peds for example). The flags are tied to the vehicle name, so the only way to use the characteristics of those flags is to replace the vehicle that has that flag.

So, in this case, I think you are going to have to either:

• Use your Ford flatbed model to replace the towtruck (or perhaps towtruck2, if it has the same characteristics),
  or
• Find another vehicle that has the same flag applied to it & use that instead of the flatbed.

The 2nd option is probably best, you can likely find an airport vehicle or construction vehicle that you don't care about & replace it with your ford flatbed model to get the results you want.

Basically, take a little drive along the motorway in all the flashing lights vehicles you can find in the game & see if any of them have the characteristics you want & don't force peds to pullover etc.
If you find one, replace it's model with your Ford flatbed model & see if it has suddenly gained the 'no peds pull over' characteristic

yea that makes sence, i might have to try that, I dont want to replace the towtruck one (i have a towtruck mod that i use to go tow cars that need help, so i would like to still use the towtruck as that mod uses the towtruck model and nothing else), but i might try the towtruck 2 lines as that one doesnt get used by any mod i have , and i think stop the ped you can change what towtruck model comes when you call for a flatbed, i guess that will be the better option, thank you

Towtruck2 slot works perfectly, if any mod wants to , they can close this and mark the guy above me as the anwser

Not sure, but a place to start would be the '<flags>' line in it's 'vehicles.meta'.
If they exist, remove any 'FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT' or 'FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE' ones you find & if that doesn't work set the line like this:

      <flags />

to remove all flags & test that too (make a backup & revert if that doesn't work tho ).

I even tested for sh!ts and giggles, i took the <towtruk> meta lines and replaced it with <flatbed> , i know that worked (the lines not the lights) cuz i wasnt able to get into the flatbed anymore by opening the door (was able however to use the f4 trainer and spawn myself in the vehicle) and when i drove the flatbed with the lights on, it still did the same thing, so i dont think its part of the vehicle meta file , its gotta be getting that info from some other place, I also took the carcols file (which towtruck and flatbed have new ones cuz they are mods) and used the carcols line from towtruck, just to see (the lights didnt work anymore but thats cuz its not the correct line)but the cars still act like its a police car
so its also not that file so im at a loss

not only that, but ive seen a lot of newer models of cars come out that have way too much polygons, ive seen a car on the main page for a while that has over 800k polygons, vehicels with really high polygons kills fps , i try to avoid them, but most newer cars are coming out like that , unoptimized

I have a question and maybe one of you car modders can help me, I want my flatbed towtruck to act like my normal Tow Truck, right now, if i get in the flatbed and turn the lights on, other cars think its a police car and move out of its way, i would rather it work like the towtruck and not have cars move out of the way when the lights are on, can someone direct me to which file i would need to edit to make it behave that way?
